Enchantra
Good to hear your kid is alright Kit, allergies are pretty scary. My sister is allergic to soy of all things. She reads labels religiously. She gets even a little bit and she has trouble breathing and also can end up spending hours in the bathroom - nothing to mess with. At least you did find out now instead of finding out later on when he ate an entire egg instead of a piece of one. That would have been scary. Heisler
You should also be on the look out for allergic reactions to sulpha based drugs then.
Valloa
We don't really buy any processed foods. We make just about everything homemade and never eat out. Getting rid of eggs from our diet consists of removing the carton from the fridge. Done! Everything else, we're scouring the labels. Ain't going to get ovum past our noses. Excellent! That certainly makes dealing with the allergy that much easier.
KatieS
You should also be on the look out for allergic reactions to sulpha based drugs then. Some vaccines too. Flu shots I know are still made with eggs, but I think most of the common children's vaccines aren't at least.
Kheprera
Pasta is generally made with eggs as well (so if you make your own pasta, find an eggless recipe.. I know they are out there). I'll see what kind of egg-free recipes I have laying around the house. I'm sure I can find something to satisfy Heidi's sweet tooth.
Enchantra
I found this place online that at the very least makes and sells all sorts of goodies that are egg-free. http://www.maggiesgfgoodies.com/

Spike
I've had whole-wheat egg-free pasta before..and it's surprisingly tasty. I'm not sure what stores nationwide have it, but around here, you have to get it at Ingles.
