VelveteenRabbit
It occurred to me that the best answer to dealing with the countless number or races that D&D seems to want to make "Official Character Races" might be to just give us a few "Head Packs" that we can make head swaps with. Genasi, Wildlings and Tieflings are pretty much just humans with different heads, so I think it might be a workable product. Just a thought! Inarah
Maybe a "heads or tails" pack as appropriate for such conversions. That could be fun.
Dr.Bedlam
I'm amazed that WotC didn't have more figure product in the pipe last year for the launch of 4e. Seems like a rather obvious thing to overlook. I've probably done twenty lizardman conversions for people for dragonborn, and at least half that for tieflings. Although I notice Reaper had some fine tieflings already for sale at the time. You guys know something you're not telling us?
haldir
It didn't help that Wiz made all of the dragonborn prepaints rare finds when buying boosters (which in turn made for spendy singles). Now they went with a totally new setup for their minis (goofy--should just let the mini companies deal with minis & they focus on the rpg aspect of the game). A head pack would be interesting, but again sales have shown that common gamers like the buy a fig, plunk him down on the grid & play vs multiple piece assembly then play. Doing a conversion is a recipe for disaster for me. :(
Dragon Snack
Sounds familiar... How about a new "Heads" pack with just Reptus/Half-Dragon, Hellborn, and Battleguard heads... It seems like this would have been a simple thing to get into production. Maybe accessory/conversion packs don't sell that well?
VelveteenRabbit
For sure they don't sell as well as other things. Reaper continues to put them out though so they must sell to some degree! You can still get a sprue of hats and helmets right? Might as well have heads to go with them! I was just mentioning it in case they hadn't considered it yet...
