Minis we would like to see (Fantasy version) Thread Seven

Nothing new here, but hopefully I can barf out some ideas with interesting spins:

More Hobgoblins! I'd especially like to see Manor's take on them. Based on the goblins he did, I imagine they just might be the coolest Hobbers ever.

I remember once upon a time, Werner Klocke did some cool knightly types that weren't elf chics in cleavage enhancing armor (breastplates! they lift and seperate!). Now, don't get me wrong, I love cleavage (on minis too!), but I'd like to see Mr. Klocke's talents stretched out beyond the "hawt elf chic" that he seems to be doing alot of lately.

(Yes, I know he does different stuff w/ his Freebooter line, I'd like to see that carry over to Reaper too)

I'd VERY much like to see more weapon packs. Specifically, a pack involving Alaine's sword, the upcoming Paladin's flaming sword, Manor's 1/2 Orc Barabarian's axe, etc, etc.

Yeah, that was a long-winded way to say: "More updated Weapon's Packs"

Battle Bases (the drop in kind that suit Dark Heaven minis so well) with slanted sideds rather than the straight sides. I love those bases, but compared to the Warlord and other slotta bases, they look blocky.

~ Keep the dynamic, in the heat of action posed figures coming - I love that!

~ Casualties & Fallen Foes - I find it hard to convert a mini into looking dead - but everyone has to have someone they beat to get that blood on their weapon.

~ Townsfolk doing things other than standing - how about some tavern sitting(with chair as seperate piece to be included or not), farming the fields, lighting a lamp, and especially running away in terror with a wide open shocked look on their face minis. It's hard to find a convincing figure that looks afraid of the lich coming after it.

~ Transportation Options - Ox drawn carts, horse drawn carriages, peddlers cart with all manor of bits and bobs on it, gypsy carivan, that sort of thing...perfect for an ambush diorama.

~ More elves for Warlord (and a faction book please)

~ Duel sets - minis locked in battle that look like they are doing battle instead of just facing each other

Hmmmm - that's enough for now but if I have any pewter bulb moments, I'll be back!

I'd like to put in another vote for war machines. In fact I'm sure I've said it before. Generic versions of catapults, ballistas, cannons and chariots would be a good place to start. I sometimes feel like a large amount of releases are aimed at pleasing the RPGers, but us wargamers have needs too! ::(:

I was looking for Wild West Minis and I found some nice ones at a British site, but I am CERTAIN Reaper could make figures at least as nice and likely nicer and more variety and more "Weird West" style. Do you know how many rulesets there are for Western skirmish? I don't know either, but it's at least half a dozen. Get to it!

Clerics and / or fighters in plate with spears or long spears (which will of course be used to represent clerics with longspears).

It is a brave new world. Clerics use piercing and slashing weapons now. Please adjust accordingly (or at least pose a cleric with no shield, holding his mace at such an angle so my spear-for-mace weapon swap doesn't look ridiculous)

Also, fewer paladins with hand crossbows. Really, just silly. It killed the best paladin mini I have ever seen.

More of a general request here than a specific mini.

Please, please, please can we have minis that don't have weapons in both hands?? A bow takes two hands to use. There's no reason to have a bow in the left hand a a sword in the right. It's just darn silly.

Alternatively, if you just can't resist loading them up, make at least one of them so that the weapon isn't molded to the body and can be removed.

Same goes for mages with swords in hand: I see too many of them. Perhaps they wield a dagger or short sword, but at least put it in a short scabbard if you must give them a bladed weapon. Perhaps have the scabbard disappear into the folds of clothing or covered by other gear so 1) less to file off 2) the length is unknown and up to the player to decide.

Gotta a gree with Gaming Glen and Rastl Deeperdown - can we have some minis with one hand free? Also some wizards without staffs. Not every wizard has one. In fact, in my personal tabletop gaming experience I've never seen a wizard with a staff.

I think I've asked for this previously, but in case not: More practically-attired adventurers. Wearing practical clothes and carrying practical equipment. Nothing showy, and nothing that in real life would get in the way if a fight broke out.

Most of this stuff has been mentioned, concider this endorsement.

- Wagon & team.. oxen or horses no matter.

this could be used for merchants, farmers, gypsys.. versatile

- camp props (bonfire, bedrools/blankats, loose saddlebags, cook pots, rabbit on a spit)

- CHILDREN... or teenagers.

adventurers or ncps, there's just a dismal lack of young minis. PS - try to avoid big cartoon heads.

- townsfolk

love Reaper townsfolk, keep 'em comin

- kraken

- more animals (deer, horses, cattle... these could be like the familiar packs)

- sprites (NOT spirits, sprites)

small fellas... woodland, water, whatev'

PS - That brass minotaur was from "Sinbad and the Eye of the Tiger (1977)" and it was AWESOME... I wish I had a mini for every beastie in that flick. There is one guy that does, you can see his collection (including the minotaur) here

Here's a spin on Weapons packs: hands. Yup, I'd like to see hands attached to the weapons just like when you open a GW Necromunda box and have multiple options to give a little variety to the models therein.

I'm no slouch at converting, and I've pulled off some wild stuff, but having the hand attached to the flintlock (more blackpowder please) and attaching it at the wrist makes for a cleaner conversion.

I think I saw a Razig weapons pack coming out soon; I'll prolly buy four or five regardless, but give us a hand!!

Yes! Amen, brother. Hands attached to generic-looking weapons... And stuff besides just swords and bows - maces, flails, crossbows of various sizes, spears, etc.

Even just a pack of empty hands would rock, with fingers in different positions - a fist, pointing, some funky spellcasting gesture...

Ya know what would rock? A pack of *arms*, too... A couple with shoulder armor, a couple with big old wizard sleeves with hands in spellcasting poses, some big muscle-y ones and bare female ones with bracelets...

I would totally buy tons of arms hands heads, etc., and build me own peeps from parts...

Even if they didn't do hands already wrapped around weapons, just a pack of hands would be helpful for conversions as well. Open hands, ones pointing, others wrapped around simple cylinders, maybe even one giving the finger.

The last two conversions I did would have benefited from alternate hand poses - One of the figs was casting a spell with two fingers outstretched, I was going to try and convert his hand to just one finger, but chickened out. The other I would have liked to convert to holding a staff, but again, I'd have to have converted his hands.

I've easily dropped 200 bucks to other companies on bits orders for all the converting I do. I'd love to give that money to Reaper.

Glad I'm not the only one to have thought of this. While we're at it, I wouldn't mind some arms for my Broken Fodder Orcs. The idea was cool having it chopped off, but after seeing five or six, I'm already finding arms for these guys.
