Hadier Posted June 1, 2009 Share Posted June 1, 2009 Hi, guys i was wondering if you had any tips for me i was priming some models with my tamiya primer nad it wasn't actuakky spraying just kinda fuzzing and the actual primer just kinda gooped its way out of the nozel so i am thinking its dirty. now onto the question How do i go about cleaning the inside of it or should i just throw on a new one from one of my other cans the only problem i have with that is i don't want to ruin another nozel. Heisler Posted June 1, 2009 Share Posted June 1, 2009 I have never successfully manage to clean a nozzle. I have stolen nozzles from other cans and they have worked just fine. orcsoul Posted June 1, 2009 Share Posted June 1, 2009 Try holding the can upside down and spraying... sometimes this'll blow a weak blockage out of the nozzle without shooting anymore paint than was already in the feeding tube. Inarah Posted June 1, 2009 Share Posted June 1, 2009 With some pins and a little simple green , and a lot of patience you can clean the nozzle. Remove it and any accessible dried paint. Drop it into a cup of simple green and let it soak. Come back to it every few hours and use the pins to remove as much dried stuff as you can reach. Eventually you will get it cleaned out. It's also a good idea to do this when you're finished priming. Turn the can upside down and continue spraying until no primer comes out.
