Brushchewer
Hey guys,Waiting for the rule book to arrive I was just messing around on the army creator. Just wondering if this is a legal list and if so what do you guys think of it.Reptus - 1000 pointsTroop 1Khong-ToT'Kay, Reptus ClericRa'amReptus Skullbreaker x 9Troop 2Gam-Nan, Gaan-Hor ElderGaan-Hor Warrior x 6Troop 3Raptor x 5Troop 4Klahan, Nagendra SniperTroop 5Raptor x 3Troop 6Luck Stone Thanks in advance!Sarah. Deadeye_Jake
Troop 3 Raptor x 5 Troop 4 Klahan, Nagendra Sniper Troop 5 Raptor x 3 As I recall, you can only have 1 "Band" of leaderless troops of each Stat Card, so I think the second "Band" of Raptors makes this list illegal. If there was another "Band" troop -type, you could take a second "Band" and you'd be ok. Edit: Since you have two leader-led troops, I beleive you could have a Cymorian Warrior solitaire instead of the second band of Raptors and come in under 1K Edited October 6, 2013 by Deadeye_Jake

I was trying to use all the raptors in the army pack. Building reptus army under a budget and the such. :-D
Rich711
Hey, Newbie to Warlord and Reaper here. There is a Reptus Dragonman warrior in the Kickstarter II core. It says warrior, is it just a solo, sergeant, warlord? It seems like a pretty sharp looking model to just be a common spearcarrier.

The one in the Kickstarter (Mark II) is the plastic version of 03316: Kar'Drakir, Reptus Dragonman Warrior in metal. Kar'Drakir does not have a direct translation in Warlord but, since you can freely proxy (even in official tournaments), he could easily proxy for: Chai Uut, Nai-Khanon or Audt as leader/elite types. Rich711
Wow, that is a really nice model for a common warrior. I know I can proxy but it always bothers me a little for some reason. It will be easier since it looks nice.
Shakandara
I often feel the same way, Rich. I like to use the actual models whenever possible, but occasionally I run in to either 1) a Warlord model that I really just can't stand (the sisters of the blade models come to mind), or 2) a model in Reaper's other lines that is just so cool, that I *must* proxy it for something (this is a good example). Don't fear the proxy. ~v

It will be easier since it looks nice. Make the army to your tastes, both in what looks cool, and what you will actually paint. My current project has a bunch of old GW models going in for some Darkspawn elites, and some Paizo demons for grunts. Can't wait to get everything going. Brushchewer
Well, good news guys! My good man (who himself has got into Bloodstone and Darkspawn in a big way) has ordered me a whole bunch of shiny stuff for this list as well as some things for my Darkreach force I'm planning. so I might be able to get some done. He also has a Audt kicking around in his pile of metals so I got that.
vulture
hi guys. i am toying around with starting a reptus warband/army (and a few others). i am mostly picking these guys up because they are wonderful sculpts and i never paint multiples unless converted, so, my objective here is to pack in as many unique models as i can. that said, i also want it to be semi functional if i ever play. i am starting small, but here is a list i came up with just for kicks: 499 points Troop1: 1x Chai Uut (proxy w/ Nai-Khanon because i already own the model and like it a lot) 3x reptus skullbreaker 2x raptor troop2: 1x audt 3x reptus warriors 2x clutchling javelineers troop3: 1x Gam-Nan, Gaan-Hor Elder 2x Gaan-Hor Warrior 1x Couatl (proxy with dragonette because i think it will look good with the gaan-hor) gear: luck stone thoughts? can a 500pt force work with no caster? the way i figure it in troop 1 the raptors use provoke to let the heavy hitters bust some heads. in troop 2 the javelineers contribute some short range attacks to a fairly sturdy but small block of warriors. troop 3 uses its mobility to pick off enemy casters/soft targets. here is an alternate list: Troop1: 1x Chai Uut (proxy w/ Nai-Khanon because i already own the model and like it a lot) 3x reptus warriors 3x clutchling spearmen troop2: 1x audt 3x reptus skullbreaker 3x clutchling archers troop3: 3x raptors OR 6x couatl OR drop troop3 and add t'kay to troop1 luckstone. which list do you prefer? Scotty
What would you veteran players suggest picking up for someone starting from scratch to learn with? I will admit it is the dragon-race models that interest me the most, is it possible to do an all dragon army? The turtles and trolls are cool as well, but I am just not feeling the snakes as far as looking at them, and I'd like to enjoy the models I am playing with (ie pleasing to the eye and such) Edited November 22, 2013 by Scotty
Shakandara
Actually, I think a dragonman list from Reptus is probably one of the more forgiving builds, as they have fewer "finesse" models than most armies. The doctrine abilities aren't particularly difficult to use either. ~v
