Bumble_B
Well my mini number 12, Lady Aiyana turned out so craptastic after I was done, I didn't even bother posting the end results. Before I went off to ReaperCon, I did a speed paint gobber (2 hours total) that turned out pretty good, for my mini #13. Which brings me to after Reapercon. I give you Khufu! My fudged up start at a Nefsokar army. I tried to do NMM on his blade and failed horribly, so decided to just do metalic paints. My base did look descent before I shot it with dullcote, then it died on me, and I put more sand on it. I did the bandages FIRST like a moron, so I spent a lot of time fixing my screwups. I learned a lot by working on this guy, and think I can kick out some good table zombies in a short about of time now. Comments or suggestions always welcome. My entire Khufu set of pics is HERE. joe b
I gotta say, nice work. The bandages are very smooth all over. Good start for your army.
Sanael
Ooh. I really like what you've got with the greens on this guy; really smooth, especially on the back of his neck/shoulders. I just commented on your Olivia, and I could say many of the same things about this mini, particularly about the metallics. And the linen on this guy rocks! I think you did a bang-up job on those bandages (call me wierd, but the loose end on the inside of his right knee is one of my favorite parts of this mini). Wilwarin
Really nice job on this one. I like the colors you used and the detail looks awesome :) (i especially like the wrappings!)
dargrin
I echo everything already said. Sweet work.
John Lee
You shouldn't be so hard on yourself, this is really good. I gave up on NMM and just use metallics, if you shade and highlight them they look good (at least to me). The only thing I would suggest is maybe a little highlighting on the green. dewen
nice work and interesting color selection. What material did you use for the sandy base?
Bumble_B
It looked a lot better before I zapped it with sealer. It hosed up my sandy. I spot placed more sand on top of the sand I had. It's 1/4 brown sand with 3/4 white sand.
