We ain't so fortunate as to have that kind o' beef round these parts. -Whiz.
Inarah
That's what you have on nights you're not eating Texas pasta. :) http://www.pastashoppe.com/store/cart.php?...;p=265&c=
Whizard Hlavaz
You mean to say the burgers are ACTUALLY shaped like Texas? LOL!!! That's great! You folk do love your beef! LOL
Flit
My parents still have the Texas-shaped biscuit/cookie cutter that my grandparents gave them when I was growing up. We ate lots of Texas-shaped biscuits back then- they were yummy and bigger than those old round biscuits.
Sanael
Go to a mall in Texas. You will find a store called something along the lines of "Y'all's Texas Store." There, you will find the aforementioned pasta and cookie cutters, as well as dog biscuits, jello molds, lollipops, chocolates, and anything else you might imagine. I have seen Texas-shaped "adult novelties" in some of the larger stores. You'll also find, of course, Texas Speedbumps (armadillos, both formerly-living and resin-cast), funny cowboys, and Jackalopes. It's mildly frightening. Dr.Bedlam
Grocery stores hereabouts routinely carry Texas-shaped crackers and corn chips. To be fair, they also carry crackers in the shapes of Colorado and Wyoming...
kristof65
To be fair, they also carry crackers in the shapes of Colorado and Wyoming... Yep - the two most popular states in terms of snack food shapes.
Brushmaster
I was quite amuzed by the Texas shaped waffle maker at the Best Western motel when I was at ReperCon '07 .

I hadn't see all of the shapes, but have enjoyed a texas shaped cajun burger, loaded with guacamole and jalapenos........mmmmmmmmmmmm! DocumentaryGirl
Until you've lived here, you really can't understand. ~v I agree. When I came to TX for the first time from NC to check out a grad school, I was shocked at seeing the shape of the state of TX everywhere. And I do mean everywhere - road signs - overpasses - foods - candles - it was insane. Still is.

Although, for the record, our road signs may be painted with Texases on them, but they are shaped like Colorado!
Spike
I'm guessing that for most folks, if they see it..and it's shaped like Texas, they make the mental connection that is it really REALLY big. Which miiiiight explain some of the oddities that Samael mentioned above. I've seen a fair amount of Georgia-shaped souvenirs and novelties, but not near to the extent as seen with Texas. I suppose all this kind of thing really chaps off folks who live in hard-to-sculpt states like Hawaii or teeny states like Rhode Island.
