3) I want a light cycle baaaad

I recall having some Hot Wheels that were something Laser series or something but the paint jobs on them made them kinda glow & the cars were a bit futuristic so when I played with them they could emit the light beam barrier, of course to destroy the other "enemy" cars.............ah childhood......

Pretty neat the way Disney is doing the previews for Tron 2. They doing viral type stuff. On the Flynn Lives site (Flynn is supposedly gone missing or something in the movie) you can unlock codes & such. One of them brings up a 8 bit looking code box (reminds me of the Tron video arcade game).

Looking forward to it, Tron was one of my favs growing up.

Reminds me I bought Tron 2 the video game awhile back at a discount grocery store for $5 bucks but never installed it. I may have to do that sometime...

Flynn returns to the mainframe to lord over creation. Think Kurtz from Heart of Darkness.

Or so I hear.

So excited. I watched that on repeat with my kids and they started asking all sorts of questions. Then it hit me: we've never watched the original! And C is almost seven! Time for a trip to the library to rectify my egregious parenting oversight.

Same here, I mean, my kids can sing the Imperial March, identify by sight Republic and Separatist spacecraft, and know that Kirk is better than Picard, but I've neglected to show them Tron. And I call myself a parent. Need to get The Last Starfighter as well now that I think about it.

You're right. I had to go add both to my Netflix list for my son. He'll love TRON. OOOHHHH, and Disney's The Black Hole - gotta show him that one, too.

First time I saw The Black Hole I was coming off of anesthesia after my tonsillectomy. Trippy is a gross understatement.

No, I mean I want one for real, that I can ride.

Oh I know what you mean. I remember playing "Tron" with my friend, heck all we had was a frisbee & a metal bar  . Love the updated look to the light cycles in this one as well.

Funny you guys mention both Tron & Black Hole on dvd. I put both on my NetFlix que near the top of the listing. Mainly cause it had been years since I seen both.

(dang, now I remember having BH action figures!! ha ha)

ah more childhood memories.....

Yup Bob & Vincent would be cool additions to Chronoscope.....nudge nudge nudge..... ::):
