Craig J. Brain
Hi all! I have just picked up some miniatures for conversion and want to add some extra robotic tentacle arms (like Marvel's Doctor Octopus). Does anyone here have any suggestions for creating some of these? Thanks, Craig J. Brain
Maltique
There is a conversion pack that has these. otherwise, break out the green stuff!

I thought that I had looked all over for a conversion pack. Would you happen to have a link? Thanks very much, Craig J. Brain
Dilvish the Deliverer
The creature Conversion pack has tentacles but they are organic. Not sure if that is the look you want. If you are looking to make your own take a look at throtle cables. The type I'm thinking of is a ridged metal one I haad on an old lawn mower. I think it could be the right size and is ridged and could look segmented. Or, and I just thought of this, you could try a metal gitar string. they come in different thincknesses and again are ridged for that mechanical look. Good luck and make sure you post you creation whatever you use.

Brain I just found some info on metal guitar strings and they are exactly what I am after :) A little touchup with a Dremel and I have my robot arms ready for the addition of some grapples etc. Thanks very much, Craig J. Dilvish the Deliverer
Outstanding. Glad to know that my 12 weeks of guitar lessons back in the the 3rd grade finally was useful for something.
Bruunwald
Having a house full of guitar strings myself, I thought I'd mention that they also work well as sci-fi hoses and as industrial-use cables, amongst other things.

I read somewhere that they can also work quite well for pinning wire. Haven't tried it myself, but thought I'd throw that out there anyhow.
