Jack Handy lets the guard get some twenty feet ahead of him and starts heading for the same ramp as if that's the shortest way to get to where he happens to be going.

"Very well Mr Handy - you will receive notification tomorrow morning of the name of the freighter and the time of it's arrival. If you have no other questions I shall wish you good day"

The security guard walks swiftly but calmly across the bridge, into a corridor and down a smaller access channel, with Handy and Missy a few feet behind. In the access channel, another figure is waiting. With both hands stuck in his pockets, Mr Garibaldi looks unconcerned and at ease. He acknowledges the guard with a nod, dismissing him so he can return to the top of the corridor, far enough away so he won't hear anything but able to stop anyone else coming down that way.

"We won't be disturbed here" says the chief. "I had Mr Darke in my office this morning. How much did you tell him? Once you've told me, and I'm satisfied, I'll tell you the good news"

Missy fills Garibaldi in on what she told Darke, including her thoughts on the cover for her cover. When she's done she looks Garibaldi hard in the eyes. "It was the best I could do. I really am new to this cloak and dagger crap."

"Oh what I wouldn't give to be out in space again, with a fighter strapped to my back."

As Missy narrates the conversation in Darius's office to Mr. Garibaldi, Jack Handy occasionally interjects with his own observations. In particular, after Missy recounts Darius' telling them all he knows about "Miss Greenwood", Jack says, "I think he was telling the truth; he figured that out on his own, and he wasn't behind the attack. And a smuggler makes it a habit to keep his mouth shut -- I don't think Mr. Darke is going to broadcast on INN the fact that he believes Elizabeth Greenwood and Miranda Fletcher are the same person."

"No further questions, and good day to you." Once the message has finished he turns to Daw. "dang it that's all I need to flights coming in at the same time. Ok Jack I am going to need you to collect the goods from an inbound Earth ship. It is nothing serious some coffee and other expensive goods that peoples here don't want to pay the full price of customs for. So later on what say we have a wander down to the docking area and I introduce you to some of the friendlyer guards. Unless you have some ideas of your own on how to get a package past customs, after all you know the area well enough. Now the contact on the ship is Miles Shipton and he expects payment so I will give you creds to cover what he expects. Don't accept any rubbish from him about wanting more money. I will give you an inventory of what should be coming in. Check the contents especially make sure nothing extra is coming in, and have a root through the coffee, I have known people to try and slip some drugs through in amongst the coffee. If he does, and he hasn't before, just take the cargo stick it somewhere safe and contact me."

Garibaldi is at least putting on an appearance of accepting Missy and Jack's story regarding Darius. He seems quite excited and much more chipper than the last time they met.

"Fine, whatever you want to tell him, just be careful you don't trip yourself up. Now, I have some good news which is why I've arranged all this cloak and dagger crap,"he indicates the guard, the sealed corridor "as you put it, lieutenant. We hooked a fish this morning. Chap by the name of Willem Briggs, caught trying to sneak into the docking area - we've had our eye on him for a while. What does this have to do with you? you might ask, and indeed would if I gave you the chance to get a word in edgeways. Well, I'll tell you - Mr Briggs runs a little enterprise in Brown sector, same line of work as Mr Darke, you might say, but with fewer alleged scruples. Never had enough evidence against him to push anything more than a few fines - he's usually quite good, in fact. He just slipped up. So, with him actually under arrest I can look into his financial records and it turns out he's a very rich man, comparitivly speaking. So, I checked some of his clients who made payments and at least three of them don't seem to exist. Regular, big payments - untraceable. One was for a job I know he couldn't have done as I have proof he was off-station at the alleged time."

He pauses, looking to see if his listeners have made the same leap he has. Unclear looks on faces mean he continues. "I've suspected him of involvement in Dust before - I know he's an associate of Mr Lindstrom from time to time. Now, I'm even more certain. I think we could use him, somehow try to convince him that you're on his side - I'd like to throw him at the ombuds and watch them put him away but perhaps he might help us catch a bigger fish?"

Garibaldi's link chirrups, sounding unnusually loud in the quiet confines of the tube. "Garibaldi, go" the chief says into the back of his hand. The returning message is a little unclear to Missy and Jack but it's certain the chief is unhappy at it's contents. "All right, Commander, I'll be there. Out". He seems to cuss briefly under his breath, then remembers where he is and looks back at the two. "Just got news Raiders hit another inbound ship. That's the second this week... I got to go soon, Commander Sinclair wants a briefing. What do you want to do with Briggs?"

In Darius' office, there's a masterclass in smugggling 1.01 taking place. Jack Daw is a smart man and the job seems easy enough. Although it's the first time Jack will be the man doing the carrying instead of being the man looking the other way, he feels confident he can pull it off. With nothing else requiring his attention, Darius has plenty of time to take Jack down to docking to show him the best ways of handling the job.

Jack Handy ponders Garibaldi's suggestion briefly. "I've been careful to maintain a reputation as a bodyguard who doesn't ask questions about his clients' business, so I think Briggs will trust me to keep my mouth shut. If "Miss Fletcher" wants to risk it, I'll back her."

He thinks a bit more, then asks Garibaldi, "Want me to keep using the same method to deliver data crystals to you, or do you want to set up something else? You know who'd be at risk if I'm discovered."

Missy thinks it over, and after several seconds of not coming up with anything she switches back into fighter jock mode and goes with her instincts. "Sure Chief, seems like it can't hurt any more than the current charades going on." Missy then thinks again. "Er Chief, does he need someone to pay bail? Fiction always makes that out as a good way to engraciate yourself with someone."

Darius tells the computer to forward any messages to his communicator and then heads out of the office, continuing the training with Jack.

"If you put up a bond, you can pretty much guarantee he'll try to flit. There's plenty of places to hide, even if you can't get off-station, so all you'd do is lose your money. But if you gave him an 'alibi', said he was doing a low level job for you I could release him pending trial - now, if you disappearred or fell out with him, he'd be back up on potential Dust smuggling. So he has a reason for keeping you sweet and helping you out." Garibaldi thinks for a moment. "There was a shipment coming in from Hansen Medicorp - how about we say you 'employed' Mr Briggs to investigate it, as your company was naturally interested in what a competitor was doing? That's a crime but it's akin to littering - he'll get a small fine. He'll owe you, big time."

"If you come to security central in 10 minutes, I can introduce the pair of you, explain to Briggs that you will need to testify at his trial and let him go. Don't be longer than 10, I'm up to my butt in problems today. Ohh, and Handy, for regular stuff use the dead drop - you need me in a hurry drop some kid a few creds to get a message to me - tell them to take it to the first security guard they see. Give yourself a codename if you like, whatever - I have to go. 10 minutes." The chief goes, collecting the security guard from the corridor entrance as he passes, leaving Missy and Jack alone together.

Darius and Jack leave the office, moving toward Blue sector and the customs area's. Well away from the main concourses, there are several ways of getting into the sector unobserved - or so Darius believes. How many are compromised? How many have security staked out? And which is the best way of getting Daw inside?

Missy turns to look at Jack. "Well, it's a start I guess. Any snags you can see? You're the pro here afterall" She says with a smile.

"Jack we need to get you access to the pilots area, currently I can bring you through here as my co-pilot but you need to be escorted. Now I know you still have your dockers card which will get you through customs but 2 different routes won't hurt. Also remember we can store stuff on the shuttle so if you are ever worried about something you are carrying just stick it on the shuttle, OK ?"

Darius walks carefree down to the pilots entrance area for customs, his ident allowing him access, in many ways this is the biggest advantage of having a shuttle on the station, having a legitimate method of access through customs. Add to that a few careful bribes to the right people and access is pretty simple. As he goes through he leads Jack up to one of the crew working in here. "Hi this is my new employee, at times he will need to work on my shuttle so what needs to be done for him to be allowed through here on his own ?"

"Only possible snag I can think of is if Briggs was involved with whoever shot at you in that corridor yesterday. I never did get a look at their faces. If he was involved, he'll probably recognize you. I don't think that's likely, though, and as Garibaldi said, he'll have good reason for wanting to keep you on his good side until after the trial. I think this will work."

Garibaldi and the guard with him should be well around the corner and gone by now, so it won't look like we're leaving with him.

"Shall we go, then?"

Jack leads the way towards Security Central.
