King Tiger
Strangest thing for some reason I was trying to think of the first Reaper figure I ever purchased the other day and had a tough time remembering. I think it was DHL 2484 (Mummy Lord) I recall looking at pics of Karloff and nemes (pharoah head gear) for inspiration on how to paint him. So any others remember the first Reaper fig you painted or do you need The Wayback Machine like I almost did?
joshuaslater
Good question. I've no idea myself, but I vaguely recall ordering about a dozen figs as one of my first orders from Reaper. I feel old.
Humansquish
2339 Templar Knight I had only done battletech mechs to this point and wanted to try my hand at a fantasy mini. I didn't want to deal with skin so I found myself a nice fully armored mini that I liked. Sadly it is still some of the best NMM I have ever done. DavidVC04
02933, Talanka! Great model!
haldir
It was either Quimby 2397 or the faceless wraith/demon human figure with a bone back-rack with heads hanging from it. It had one of his hands up palm out (name escapes me right now).
Shakandara
Would be pretty hard to say what was the first Reaper figure I ever purchased. However, I am certain that the first one I painted to completion was a conversion of Sir Falco Steelcross (02113) to use as a PC for my Paladin of Lathander in the RPGA's Living City campaign. He was ultimately replaced by the Ansel (2916) that is now my avatar, and was far more perfect for the role (tyvm Mr. Bobby Jackson). But Sir Falco retains a special place in my heart. ~v
Lyn
I am pretty sure that the first Reaper mini I have ever painted was Starmane the Unicorn by Sandra Garrity.
Castlebuilder
I've been buying and painting Reaper figs for so long that I have a copy of the first Casket Works around here somewhere. My old mind is too shot to figure out which was my first one. I do know that I've painted a whole bunch since then.
Warlady
Werner Klocke's Tara the Silent - I bought her for an RPG. She's still one of my favorite figures.
Dragon Snack
My "first" was the Shadow Corps Dwarven Mortar Crew (minus mortars)...
Dilvish the Deliverer
The first Reaper that I bought was DHL 2005 Tox. It however, like many of my minis, is still not painted. The first one I finished painting was one of the Black Legioneres.
Moderator Froggy the Great Posted August 12, 2009 Moderator Share Posted August 12, 2009 All my first Reaper figs are painted (Mine was 02035: Gwendalyn The Healer), but the stuff I got shortly thereafter is still mostly unpainted. Actually, most of my unpainted stuff is early DHL from when I didn't know how to paint or late DHL from when Chronoscope seduced me away. Bumble_B
14303: Logan, Dwarf Warlord On custom base and modded for DnD. He was my dwarf Barbarian who only used one bigarse battle axe, so he was wielding what he was wielding :)
Amalor Myrnnyx
For me, the first Reaper piece was one that was contracted by Crunchy Frog for their Critter-Tek line (BattleTech parody), called the Whamhammer. First Dark Heaven piece was Anastacia
Helltown
My first mini ever was a Reaper mini, Sir Justin the Green. I still have him somewhere at home, I think.
