Sir Drake
If you have a model with Ranger/6 and the unit has a +1 move for whatever reason. Can you add that to the Ranger move during the pregame move?
Qwyksilver
The Ranger/# SA gives you the answer. Emphasis added. A model with this SA may conduct a single Move Action, up to (#) inches during the Pre-Battle Phase. If you had a model with Mov 6, and Musician, and the model had Ranger/7 then you could use the extra inch of movement. If the model had Mov 7, and Musician, and the model had Ranger/7 than you could not, because you would then be over the limit given by the Ranger SA. Gus Landt
The number listed as '#' in the Ranger SA is meant to replace the model's MOV value. The model's MOV is ignored. Only the '#' listed in the SA is used. This is not augmented by any equipment or spells.
