ChronoCAV

Well, we've got the Bathalian Exarch in Chronoscope for Warlord. Will there be any crossover models for CAV?

I got to thinkin' about this from some spider mechs I bought from Merv over at ComfyChair Games. He had a deal too good to pass up, so I bought some, and they rock!! They are in somewhat of a neutral scale, in that they can be used for his upcoming mech game, or you can use them for whatever. Me, I'm using them as proxies for some CAV gaming, which has stolen my heart.

So, with that in mind, are there any sci-fi quasi-mecha models that could do double duty like these?

I was looking at the fleet scale Heavy Gear models for converting for CAV, but they may be too Battletechy. Forgive my poor grammar.

I guess this should go into the "Chronoscope models we'd like to see," but then, maybe it belongs in CAV.

I know that the long playing CAV kids want their book and all the models produced first, but these crossover models might grab some people who might not be into big stompy machines.

Cheers.

Next day Edit: As I was watching Aliens, the scene where Ripley piloting the exoskeleton loader and duking it out with the big momma alien comes to mind as something that would fit Chronoscope and CAV.

Dig. I'm enjoying CAV immensely, as is, but find that some bugs or other monsters that could be scaled to use in CAV (N scale) and in the 28mm Heroic department would sell extremely well, and fit into the game.

I'm doubting that Reaper will change the overall look of the CAV game, and don't want them to, but I do like some of the Dream Pod 9 Heavy Gear models in the fleet scale. I'm converting away.

Robots are woefully missing from the CAV universe. I wonder why there aren't any unmanned artificial intelligence quasi-mechs running around.

Warzone has Cybertronic. Void's got Syntha. CAV could use some robotic type models.

If they approach CAV from Chronoscope, with multi-use models, it might be a good way to reinvigorate their game.

Psyros. In CAV 1. They have had play balance issues in CAV 2. I know the guys are looking at them, but as of now, we haven't seen them. They are a rogue AI.

I'm not familiar with the fluff or story of the Psyros, but if you think they'd work, I'd like to see them, and more importantly, buy them.

The CAV game is scaled wonderfully for the mechs and infantry; I don't want a sea change in the direction of the CAV range, but I have seen other mechs and vehicles that fit in with CAV, but are not scaled.

The Chronoscope Toolbots are cute lil' robots for pulp gaming. Imagine them sculpted CAV stylee, able to be used in 28mm gaming, or in CAV.

What are the fans thoughts CthuluCAV?

CAV sized/shaped but totally Cthulu'd out.

I saw a piece a sculptor was working on at RAC and I thought it'd was a CthuluCAV leg, complete foot to hip.

I asked about, threw around a few suggestions and the concern is that there's not enough demand on something like that to justify the associated costs.

As a fan of neither Cthulu nor CAV I was surprised that after seeing the start (and thinking about where it could go) I'm pretty sure I'd actually buy it.
