Behind the Mask-The rise of Leslie Vernon -Spinal Tap meets Friday the 13th in this dvd where an up and coming slasher allows a film crew to document how he plans for an upcoming killing spree.

Just bought Trick 'r Treat with Anna Paquin. An excellent Halloween movie to get me in the holiday mood before I put up my Halloween Tree....

I have to agree with the previously-suggested Waterworld. I don't get what's supposed to be so awful about it, other than that it's maybe geared toward viewers like me rather than Costner's customary lonely middle-aged housewife demographic. To me, it's one of his more watchable performances.

Also, Pin.

Best. Insane. Ventriloquist. Movie. Ever!!!

Sadly, most everyone I've discussed it with either hates it or, more likely, never heard of it; if my wife sees it's coming on TV, she'll do just about anything to create a diversion until she's scrolled that page of the TV listing off-screen so I won't notice it and insist on yet another viewing.

Also, ¡Three Amigos!, although I am not 100% sure if the "hardly anyone else likes it" truly applies here. I do know a few people who didn't care for it though. The fools...

And of course, anything by Ralph Bakshi. Including his version of LotR. Yeah, that's right. I said it.

Jesus Christ Vampire Hunter is technically probably more simply obscure & unknown than it is unliked, but I really enjoyed this low-budget, local production. Just like Pin, it is occasionally shown in Canada on the Scream Channel (not sure whether that station's available in the US or not) and my wife can't stand it.

But honestly, I'm far too stubborn to feel much actual guilt over liking any of these reputed stinkers. I wish I could add Ishtar to my list; I haven't actually had the opportunity to see it, but I bet I could easily enjoy it just to spite the world.

Cool thread, BTW.

Possibly the cheesiest Japanese scifi film of all time... The Mysterians (aka Earth Defense Force)

Alien invaders, giant robots, death rays, abducting earth women, this movie had just about every '50s scifi cliche that there is.

Just got the 2008 version of Rambo from Netflix today.

The story is a joke but the gore in the fire fights is so realistic.

Ever wondered what a 50 caliber with unlimited ammo would do to a bunch of bad guys who are standing in a row?

Another one people think I'm crazy over is Strange Brew. It was the earlier Max von Sydow reference that surfaced that one.

Awesome movie. Funniest part is it being based off Hamlet, with beer.

I found a mouse in my beer, eh.

You know, I've always been so busy laughing at it, that I never looked at it that way!
