haldir
Just thought I'd pass along this. Miniature Market.com Warlord Minis - 50% Off We are no longer carrying Reaper's Warlord, P-65 Heavy Metal and Reich of the Dead product lines. All models are 50% off while supplies last. I just picked up the earth elemental & Tre's new giant + some other things for a pretty good price. Thought maybe someone was wanting but didn't have the cash for retail. I don't understand thou why drop Warlord or P65? I mean those are generic enough that they are decent sellers. I can see RotD, as I haven't heard a peep out this in quite awhile. RM A bad time to be getting out of Warlord IMO......even my local hobby store has seen a nice surge in sales and interest. Veronus
haldir
I was thinkin that myself. The rulebook (which I don't have yet) is selling great + again the minis aren't made that they are "Warlord only" minis. You want a bow firing elf, there you go Vale Archer, dwarf with a bear? Bear Rider. Just kinda seems odd that they are dropping the line. Gotta admit some of their classifications of the factions/mini is a bit odd & they may have hurt sales a bit, but that I'm not exactly sure. Inarah
I would guess they are dropping lines that have sold poorly over the past year. I'm not sure how well P65 is doing. I like the concept, but already have all the older sculpts I want in their original form. Reich of the Dead got some people excited when it was announced, but has sort of been dead in the water (from my point of view) for over a year now. Regardless, I got my order in. Warlord seems to be moving pretty fast out of their web store now.
Sanael
I just wish I had some disposable cash right now...I'd snag some of the larger WL sculpts at half off. Ah, well. I did have an interesting conversation about p-65 with the purchaser at my FLGS last week. He's not buying any p-65 for the store because he's got stock in many of those sculpts in DHL. Since non-WH40K minis have been kinda standing still since right after P-65 debuted, he doesn't want to get cheaper versions of the same minis, thereby never selling the more expensive ones (many of which were even more expensive when the store got them, since he did a partial mark-down when Reaper dropped prices). He realizes it's a catch-22: customers would buy less expensive product (though that's a maybe at best), but he's already got the "same" product, but it's more expensive. This store has never stocked much WL, as we're in a very WH40K-centric area (WHF and LotR have strong following, Hordes and WM have a toehold). I have talked to the guy about at least stocking some of the minis unique to P-65. He likes that idea, but the website doesn't make it easy; could there be a tag that will pull up "p-65 exclusive" or something similar? Stink
I am now 22 Reaper mini's richer! I picked up 2 confrontation mini's as well cause they were only 75 cents, lol. Thanks for the heads up, haldir! (I so wanted to get that giant demon! Half price on $45 is a sweet deal, but I didn't see dropping that much on one miniature when I was picking up so many more at the moment) Now that summers over, I may have time to actually paint again. Oh and I'd just like to send a big "GRRRRRRRR >:(" out to whoever bought up all the bear riders, lol ;)
haldir
np Stink figured the saving would help people out. Heck I'd had never gotten both the earth elemental & the Tre Giant at once if not for the reduced pricing + helps I got a extra check this week (got a raise, so it's a backpay on top of a holiday week check )
GreyHorde
Thanks, Haldir! I added 35 models to my Dwarves - some leaders & solos, but more front-line soldiers. Missed out on the bear riders, though. :( Still, it's a great deal and I'm glad to get in on it.
Lorderl
those are somee really good prices, no wonder those bear riders sold out haha many of the other models sold out as well, and at some of those prices you can see why I placed my order, there's still plenty of good stuff, i left some for others , but i grabbed up the last 4 raptors

We have a fantastic exchange program for retailers. Basically, every retailer should be sending back minis that don't sell to exchange them for minis that will. If something has been on his shelf for 2 years, he needs to send it back and get new stuff that has a better chance of selling.
haldir
That is a nice exchange program. When Dark Horse Games was in Boise, ID the owner (guy I've known since I was like 10 or so) was going to send back the WL Giant Eagle due to the weight of the mini had released the bubble from the blister, but he instead sold it to me for like 11 or 12 bucks I'm not complaining!!! Sanael
Gus, thanks for the heads up on that retailer exchange policy. I'll let my FLGS know about it.

joshuaslater
What might sell in one region not selling in another I can understand, but the why's and wherefore's of online retail, I've not a clue.
