SIGIL
Man this is a FANTASTIC piece of work. Teh base alone is a great piece of work but his work on teh figures is outstanding as well..... But I REALLY ned to post a tut on fixing the join issues on Conradt's axe! Please vote; Jarhead's Cain and Abel diorama at CMON
John Lee
The mini's are well painted, and I'm really impressed with the tattoo work. The base just doesn't look all that good to me, none of the stuff in it goes together. John
Heisler
I'm going to agree that the base is to dominate and very much distracts from the figures, which look quite good, but the emphasis on the base makes it hard to really see them. Sergeant_Crunch
I agree, the base is waaaay too busy. Figs are outstanding, but you have to work to stay focused on them.
Bluesabre
I agree, its as if "hey look, theres a couple of guys stuck on top of all that stuff!" Still, waaaaay beyond my ability though.
Sergeant_Crunch
Still, waaaaay beyond my ability though. That's why I'd like to see less on the base, so I can focus on the excellent painting.
Wilwarin
I think as a whole it looks amazing, the figures look great. My only complaint would be that the base is a bit too busy, I, also had trouble focusing on the figs themselves. It's a beautiful base by far, but maybe a little less would help keep focus on the figs :)
gaultj
Sweetness.
miniken
Great scuplts and the tattoo work really brings them to life. Have to agree though that while the base is great work it's too busy for my taste. Seems to be doing well at CMON though. Not an easy thing to do. Randalll
You guys are tough on the base, and it doesn't work. But I think you can have an extravagent base but all the elements should lead the eye towards the figures, or frame the figures. THe colors should be darker so the figures kind of jump out. Also, they were positioned too far apart to relate to one another.
Angorak
Yeah I agree the base is way over the top and detracts fom the mini's. Overall though some really nice work.
Stern Kestrelmann
Sweet little dio. The sculpts are sweet. Say isn't that the super limited barbarian model(non-bald one) from RBG that is super cool, but that no one can have? Paint work is wicked nice. I actually like the base work, I'll bet it's easier to soak up in person. SK

Lawgiver
Great stuff. I like the busy base. Shows lots of love/time in the project. The tattoos look good. The only thing I don't like about is the odd bend in the handle of the axe. The moldy/weathered effect on the arches/statue really help sell the realism and set some effects. JimL
Wow, there is some great paint work in here. The tats. look very good to me and although the base is over-powering it is extremely well painted. I'd love to know what some of those parts and pieces are. Any chance for a material list and what is the bottom of the base made of?
