Brushmaster
I forget the name of this mini that I've had for several years and I've gotten into a bit of a painting binge . Let me know what you think , suggestions , comments and criticisms welcome .
demonelf3
Nice contrast on the blues there. I think that the red of her lips is maybe too red, unless she is wearing lipstick. The skin needs some more contrast, maybe some rosy cheeks to tie in with the blue armor? Top notch though, can't wait till it's done. MikeD
I agree the armor looks very good. I don't see any problem with the lips, altough I agree another layer or two of highlighting on the skin would not hurt. Maybe a bit of highlighting on the chainmail, to give it a bit more three dimentionality? I think the only realy issue is the sheathed sword on her back. I assume you have not even started on that? DavidVC04
The first thing I noticed was the lack of lining. Between the fingers. Around the face (I know, I know, scary to go back and line around the face!). Back right heel. I like the metals and smooth skin. Doing that red emblem on the shoulder pad looks out of place. The fig seems pretty harmonious other than that.

As it is part of the miniature , what colour do you suggest ? I wanted something to contrast against the armour .
Karabean
Are you trying for an NMM look? The back looks alright around the knees but something about the armor isn't working for me in the breastplate area. As for the decal on the shoulder, I think it needs blacklining, and maybe you want to put it inside a gold circle so it looks more like a seal or like the shoulder patches some military groups use? Just an idea. Thanks for posting this!
demonelf3
For the shoulder seal you could do a few things. Make it warm like NMM gold for contrast, or use orange, blue's complement. If you do the gold you should probbly use gold somewhere else too.

l33t ninj4
All these Elf chicks look great, but I can't help but wonder who makes them.
pez5767
All these Elf chicks look great, but I can't help but wonder who makes them. I'm pretty sure this is a old WarZone figure. Great job on the blue armor. Really nicely blended.
Darius Glenwell
L33t Ninj4: This is a War Maiden of Ritterlich from the Dark Heaven: Legends line of Reaper Miniatures 02589: Gabriella, Warmaiden. Not an elf actually, but I suppose you could use her as such.

Hmmm , white/silver might just work thanks !
cerebro1974
I'd love to see it once it is based as well!
Jabberwocky
Looking very good, Brushmaster! The blues (as with all of your recent projects) looks very good. I think you could take the highlights up one more notch with some pure white in very small (almost dots) areas. I'd place them on the rivets and sharp corners as well as the very top of her "horns". Ubernitpick here: If you can, I'd tone down the lower lip just a hair. The light reflection is located perfectly, but is bright enough that it reads teeth to me instead of glossy lower lip. What else...the chainmail looks good, but I think you could highlight and shade it a bit more. I'd highlight it long the right edge near the inner right thigh and on the opposite edge toward the bottom, shading the middle a touch more. The reds on the tabard are looking great with the shading, but perhaps a hint of highlighting along the edge of the cloth? Lots of nitpicking here, I hope you don't mind. That's all I can come up with--you have done a very good job with this one and all I have left are the nitpicks!
