KatieS
Overall, I like the color scheme (incl the pants). I have to know what color(s) you are using for the tabbard as that might just be the color I am looking for my current project That's Violet Red, the midtone for the Violet triad (I have since done some shading and highlighting with the other paints of the triad, Pale Violet and er, I forget the name of the shadow color...). I should be able to get some newer pics up soon with at least some of the tabard and leggings shaded and highlighted...

KatieS
That might just work for my project, thanks No problem. It's up there as one of my favorite triads so happy to spread the love Where in So Cal are you? Do I know you? I'd feel like and idiot if I was talking to one of my friends (or acquaintances) on the boards and didn't know it

It's for a female pirate. BTW I'm in the San Fernando Valley (LA), but have lots of figure painting buddies in your neck of the woods. If you know anyone from SCAHMS we've probably met. I am not so good with colors, it's one reason I always basecoat my minis pretty much completely to make sure the colors I picked work together OK. I'd have to see it to know if it would work. I don't know anyone from SCAHMS but am interested in learning more about them. I know there's a lot to learn from the historical painters! I have been going to Strategicon the last couple years, and run the Paint and Take there. If you've been there recently you've probably seen me :)

KatieS
I've gotten some more work done on this pretty lady (at least she was pretty BEFORE I started slapping paint on her ), here's some quick shots to show you where I am at: I'm just about ready to put the sword arm on her and get some work in on that arm. Still need to redo the hair, kind of leaving it for last... Also, using the new camera. It takes MUCH better pictures than the old one. Comments, suggestions, etc welcome. Jabberwocky
Fantastic work on the eyes. I'm not sure where you're at in the process, but I think the metallics could use some additional shading.
