Nomadik
Wow, that's all I can say. These are great, it's been too long since there were decent western miniatures on the spindles at game shops. Now I just need to find a game to use these minis in. Too bad GW's Legend of the Old West is such an expensive book.

Yeah! I'm loving all the CS figures, but the Western characters are definetly very welcome. Now I just need to find a game to use these minis in. Too bad GW's Legend of the Old West is such an expensive book. There are actually quite a few Wild West skirmish rules floating around, both commercial and free. I have used Desperado by Monday Knight Productions and Cowboy Wars by Westwind and both work well. You can find a listing of quite a few Wild West games on Eric Hotz website. Sanael
Deadlands? he did say decent ok, they werent too bad... Ha! Fair enough. I'll admit, I've never actually been able to play in a Deadlands game, but the rules I've seen look pretty good to me, and I've heard very few bad things. A group I used to game with had a lot of fun with it. But as always, YMMV. Also in the category of games that could use many of the western figures, there's the Serenity RPG, although there's a lot of house rule modification that needs to happen before those rules really become fantastic. Jame
I think I'm going to get more sci-fi minis before I get more westerns. But I have Ellen Stone Cowgirl, as she's the one I wanted most.

It's a good book, and a really fun game though :) Their WWI book is even better
Nomadik
It's a good book, and a really fun game though :) I broke down and bought it. I've been drooling over the idea of possibly one day getting it since its 2004 release. I'm impatiently waiting for it to come in the mail as we speak. Excited to be using these minis! Back to painting!

Nomadik
What is Gutshot?
Dr.Bedlam
Hawgleg Publishing They're an underdog company selling a neat little skirmish system for western games in 25mm. I like 'em. My main problem has been obtaining reasonably priced western type minis. You wouldn't think this would be a problem in Texas, but it is. I'm currently using a mix of Chronoscope, old Deadlands minis, and a few that were released for HeroScape, of all things...
Qwyksilver
For cheap PPP some of those western Heroscape figures aren't too bad. One of the kids I mentor loves the game so I have had a chance to see a lot of the figures.

Dr.Bedlam
Mm-hm. I know about Boot Hill and Black Scorpion; I'm just one of those people who believes in supporting the local brick and mortar stores before I go online... I have to want something BAD before I order it online. I'm about ready to do that with the Reaper figure, the Maid figure that Werner Klocke did... for some reason, I can never find that one in the local stores... Doug Sundseth
My main problem has been obtaining reasonably priced western type minis. You might want to take a look at Foundry's Old West line, if you haven't previously. They're very nice, have lots of variety, and I've had very good luck with their shipping (less than 10 days with the default shipping option). I'll note that they're 25-28mm figures, so they won't fit very well with Reaper's scale.
