MaxSteiner
Hi, for the past few weeks I've been trying to get a copy of this. I've emailed reaper, and recieved no reply, i've asked on the forums I frequent and noone knows, I've hassled the main shop I deal with, and they'd never even heard of it. Anyone know of anyone who's selling it in the UK, or Europe? Failing that, does anyone have any idea on how much it would cost to have a rulebook shipped over from the US to the UK (Again I've actually emailed the Reaper store and recieved no reply). Thanks alot
orcsoul
When was this email? I've experienced a similar phenomena in the past where Reaper's responses were not making it into my inbox. Something was just broken between their outbox and my inbox. It took several rounds of me sending them an email, and me never getting the response (not even flagged as spam and placed in the spam box, it just never got received by my mail server) to figure out I wasn't being ignored, just some unusual email fluke that to this day if I recall never got solved, but just went away on its own with one particular reaper email address. MaxSteiner
Hmmm..... would have been a week ago to the day I think :D I don't think its being ignored so much as, noone really seems to know one way or the other, there's not to many Reaper stockists this side of the pond, and most of them don't carry the whole range. I'm begining to think I might as well just order from the US, but it seems better all round for everybody if I can convince a store in the UK to get it in. Figure I may as well try sending another round of emails though, thanks for the advice :D
vejlin
www.whitedragon.dk has copies and ships to the UK. Since it's within the EU you don't get taxed. The 2nd edition rules are discounted right now too. I'm not sure how bad shipping to the UK is though. Oh and if shipping is bad, try shooting them an email. Since it's not miniatures they can probably put it in an envelope for much cheaper than the store lists. MaxSteiner
That looks close enough to me :D It was more a general dislike of waiting for stuff to get shipped over to the UK than any other major concerns lol. Thanks again.
MaxSteiner
Ouch, works out £20 for the shiping! Thats about twice the cost of the book..... I guess its the curse of being a cheapskate, but Im not sure I can totally justify it at that price :(
vejlin
I know there's also a store in poland, but I don't remember it's name, or how bad shipping is. There's also one in germany which might have it. I'll be back after I do a bit of searching for you.
vejlin
here's the german site I was thinking about. They do have the 2nd edition book for 20 Euros: http://www.battlefield-berlin.de/shop/inde...U&list=WG15
WizardOne
Ouch, works out £20 for the shipping! How does £20 compare with the two-way cost of traveling by train, North Sea ferry, and more train to Whitedragon's brick and mortar location? (if they have one?) Have you ever dealt with this UK enterprise: "The Gamers Guild" ? http://www.thegamersguild.co.uk/presentati...-miniatures.asp They mention Warlord on this page, explain poorly what it is, but offer a "contact us" link and some hope they might special order Warlord products for you. In your circumstance I might shop Reaper's Online Store, gather a list of models, the book, and product codes for everything and ask TGG what they could do for you and how much it would cost. Hopefully someone on Reaper's staff will see this thread and will find a better UK source for you. .W. PS: This thread: http://theminiaturespage.com/boards/msg.mv?id=95815 might contain some useful info.
herzogbrian
International P&P is ALWAYS a bear. Perhaps you need to make friends with an American serviceman/woman. Then you can get things shipping APO at US domestic rates. At any rate, if you EVER have issues getting hold of things in the UK, drop me a line: herzogbrian at earthlink dot net and I will see what I can do to help you out. Cheers, Brian
ixminis
I dropped a line to [email protected] with a link to this thread. I'm a freelance painter so I can't give ya the official answer. However, my recollection is that if you order it from the Reaper online store the shipping to the UK will be at cost, so no extra handling fees. Reaper User ReaperDarryl Posted November 11, 2009 Reaper User Share Posted November 11, 2009 Sadly, we do not currently have any retailers in the UK that carry the Warlord 2nd ed book that i know of. If they order them from a US distributor rather than directly from us its possible they might have it unbeknownst to me. We do have a handling charge but it is $1.00. It looks like the total shipping and handling for a Warlord book ordered direct from our website would be around $15.00, and as with all international orders from us you would be responsible for any customs fees once it arrived. Another option would be to contact Leisure games(http://www.leisuregames.com/) Orcs Nest (http://www.orcsnest.com/) or Miniature Heroes (http://www.miniature-heroes.co.uk/) and see if they would order it for you. Your local game store can also contact me at [email protected] to setup a direct retail account with us as well. Hope this helps.
MaxSteiner
Thanks for the responses everyone! Very suprised to hear that noone in the Uk carries it. I am semi tempted to order it direct from you guys, the shipping is very reasonable, and so long as customs don't decide to open the package when it arrives here should be the best option. But I'm also thinking it might be worthwhiule to try and get a few shops carrying the book over here... I guess I'll send out a few more emails and see if anyones willing, then finally break down and order if from you like I should have done in the first place :D
