Mini Killer
Well I am posting some of my older work until I can get something new completed. It is nice sharing my work since no one besides the better half has ever seen it. Here is a dwarf standard-bearer that I finished around the same time as the dwarf lord. The miniature came from the Warhammer box set “Battle for Skull Pass”. Please provide commits and critics so I can try to improve my painting.
Heisler
Overall he looks good. You need to deepen your shadows expecially in the chainmail and bring up the highlights on the gold, expecially on the standard itself. His gray sleeves are blending into the armor, you might try repainting them with the same purple you used in the standard. That should make him "pop" when you look at him. From the angle its hard to see the face but it looks like a solid job, the same with the beard. I think a darker beard would have been better has this one is pretty close to the armor and kind of disappears.
demonelf3
Good pop to the fig, though I agree that the sleeves would be better in purple. Because these guys are so small, we need to strengthen contrast so they eye can pick it up. So push those highlights and shadows deeper.
