John Lee
Well, I finally got started on my exchange mini. Just the base coats now and I built the base, still needs a few fiddly bits added to it. It started out as a piece of flooring, I cut it to size, routed an edge on it, the sanded and finished it with laquer. More photos and a bunch of other stuff on my website, www.thebrassdragon.com. Comments, CC, etc. welcome. Thanks, John
Ferox
Great looking figure! I'll be paying attention to this one for sure. The base looks a bit incongruous just now, but I imagine it'll get a lot better real fast. :-) Can't wait.
Arkayn
Nice looking figure will enjoy watching the progress on this one. How big is your base btw? I'm looking to make some bases up like this myself, but having trouble determing the correct size to make it.
Jabberwocky
Excellent start! I'm diggin' the purplish start to the skintone--what color did you base with?
Mini Killer
I like the sense of action that the figure has. It’s going to look cool on the base. Cannot wait to follow this one.

John Lee
Finally got some more done on the Orc, Holiday overtime in the lab put a dent in my paint time. Here's some shots of what I've got done so far. I still need to tweak the armor some more, touch up the flesh here and there, dull down the teeth, and I'm not real sure of the eyes. The leather didn't turn out quite like I had hoped. What do you think? Would you be happy if you recieved him?? More pictures can be found at www.thebrassdragon.com. Thanks in advance, John
Ferox
I really like the armour plates. I agree with you about the leather; it's pretty orange-y, very much like the rust on the armour. Maybe that's the bit that looks off? How about a thin khaki wash to mute the vibrancy of the orange and smooth out the blends between the highlights and shadows? (I'll be the first to admit that I tend to think "bright, sharp highlights" when I paint leather, but that applies more for polished leather and less for worn, scuffed leather like this guy's wearing.) JimL
Very nice, I'd be happy to get him in an exchange. The rusty armor is great.
