Bronwyne
Echidnox is MIGHTY +5! Also, all proceeds of Echidnox go towards Child's Play, so you should go out and buy one now! This little guy is really fun to paint. When the manager of my local hobby store commissioned me to paint this little warrior, I was pretty skeptical. But, after spending a day in close inspection... very close inspection... I have to say he's grown on me. If he weren't a commission, I would have totally kept him. There's not very many photos of a painted Echidnox out there, and he looks pretty gnarly if he's not painted. I wanted to share the photos I took of him, so I made an account here and this is my first post! Hopefully someone will go out and pick up their own Echidnox and support Child's Play.
Ferox
Outstanding! What did you use for the shield? I love the colour combination.
Bronwyne
Outstanding! What did you use for the shield? I love the colour combination. I use Games Workshop paints, the legacy of a husband who's been playing Warhammer since he was a kid. :) Let's see, first I painted the field with Scab Red, keeping out of the creases. I dulled it and blended it into the crevices with two coats of Ogryn Flesh. I went over the raised parts with Chaos Black, then Dark Flesh, and then finally Vomit Brown. Thank you for your compliments!
Anne
Excellent work! I like your color choices, and the fur in particular looks very good!
John Lee
Not a big fan of the mini, but I admire your paint job. John
dude
It's Sonic Wallace. Or William Sonic. Either way, I wouldn't mess with him. "They can take our lives, but they'll never take our wood chips!" Nicely done.
Canadian_eh
Nicely done. I've been trying to get my LGS to order me one of these guys, but apparently his distributors don't have a clue what he's talking about (even though I've given him the exact mini number and everything). I'm hoping that with the release of the other animals, his distributors will get a clue and pick up the minis

My LGS tried to get it, but couldn't get it from their distributors because the sales go to charity. I just ordered mine this morning. Canadian_eh, your profile doesn't have your location set, but I assume you are in Canada. If you're anywhere near Ottawa (long odds in a country this size, I know), they had one on the Reaper rack at Fandom II (the FLGS) the other day. Just one, mind you, and his sword was bent at about a 90 degree angle... but they did have one. Kang

I'll be ordering from the site soon! And Kang. Thanks for the help too. I just signed up to the forums yesterday so my info isn't filled in yet. I'm a Canadian living in Illinois :)
