Sergeant_Crunch
OK, Let's get this ball rolling! For me, January started with...ordering more stuff*. Goal this month is to finish: 1 Emperor (started it just before the end of the year) the rest of the FSE fleet (10 ships, two fighter flights) Prime and prep the remainder of the box of SFU ships I bought a long time ago. I've worked out a system for painting the ships, so once I get past the CAV I'll be cruising. *3 Cold Navy ships (Mauridian battleship and 2 cruisers) and DN, BC for both Feds and Klingons as well as a Fed NCL. Rastl
Thanks to everyone who kept this rolling while I crawled into a black hole and disappeared for a few months. My goal this month is rather simple - just to paint SOMETHING.

warlordgarou
OKay, I am going to be getting ambitious. I want to finish 150 miniatures/bases this year. This month, I want to finish: 2 Reaper Zombies with chainsaws 1 Reaper "monster" for the exchange (worked on both of those last month, but my only painting time the last week and some was at the GW store, and they frown on bringing non-GW figs in to paint.) Ogre Kingdoms - base colors on 12 bulls, 4 ironguts, 4 leadbelchers, assemble and prime 24 gnoblars Skaven - assemble, prime 40 clan rats, 20 plague monks, 2 rat ogres, 5 giant rats, 2 packmasters, warlock FoW Brits - 10 tanks - try for base colors Soviets - I have 5 T-34s that have been almost finished for who knows how long. I really should finish them off. DBA armies - I want to finish a couple bases of horse archers, in 15mm. Should only take a night, if I actually sit down and do it. Sergeant_Crunch
Thanks to everyone who kept this rolling while I crawled into a black hole and disappeared for a few months. My goal this month is rather simple - just to paint SOMETHING. Meh, stuff happens. Don't force it, let it come naturally or it won't be fun. OKay, I am going to be getting ambitious. See, I'd purposely bring in non-GW stuff. But I'm contrary that way. If you really want to aggravate them, comment on how much better the Reaper fig is. Nanite
1 Tomb Spider 1 Chancellor CAV 1 Mantis CAV We'll see where it goes from there. *3 Cold Navy ships (Mauridian battleship and 2 cruisers) and DN, BC for both Feds and Klingons as well as a Fed NCL. Going to regret this, but: How? I can't find them on the ravenstar site?
gamerlibrarian
I think if I write down goals, stuff will happen. Going from my 2010 goal list: Get a painting/craft area set up. This involves a lot of cleaning that needs to get done anyway. Seal the two familiars I've painted, and give them some sort of base, even if it is just sand. Finish painting the figure I've had in progress since August.
Humansquish
I have 7 minis I am painting for other people that I would like to get done, one of which is my exchange mini. And then I have a mini I want to get done for an online contest.
GreyHorde
Carried over from December 25% - 17 DHL skeletons (dipping experiment) 10% - Exchange mini due 01/31/2010 0% - sculpting project 5% - Grenadier Chinese dragon commission 5% - online contest mini That's already more than I can realistically finish in one month, so there is nothing new to add for January. Off-list: update/replace photo booth; make a way to airbrush in winter - indoors with a vented booth, or heat the garage and work out there; start blog and/or personal web page for minis; begin RPG campaign; get in a few games of Warlord; learn to play Arcane Legions. warlordgarou
See, I'd purposely bring in non-GW stuff. But I'm contrary that way. If you really want to aggravate them, comment on how much better the Reaper fig is. Well, since they frown on it, in a "get out of the store right now" kind of way, and since it was my only chance to paint anything over the holidays, I kind of had to accept it. Especially since the painting area is often filled with new painters getting advice from the employees. I forgot that I have some 25mm cowboys I want to at least get primed this month. Picked up a copy of Gutshot and some figs, and I figured I would do them on a quiet weekend.

Pertinent info can be found here: http://www.star-ranger.com/forum/viewtopic...f=33&t=5187 Essentially send him an email with what you want, he sends you an invoice. At least until he gets the site redone, which has been in the making for a long time.

It actually doesn't bother me that much, since they are in a store dedicated to one manufacturer. I can't imagine the employees at an Apple store would be real pleased with you if you walked in looking for advice on a competitors item. Now, if a normal, run-of-the-mill, FLGS tried that kind of thing - I would leave. I may extol the virtues of Reaper products when doing a painting demo, and try to get new people to use as many Reaper figs as possible - but I am not going to kick someone out of my painting clinics just because they pull out a space marine. Jen
I didn't finish anything last month, so my list is unchanged from December. However, given how little painting I've been doing lately, I'll be happy if I finish anything. :p
morganm
Prepped about 30 minis. Broke 3 tips off of needle files in the process =P
