Nanite
Consider this the photo-negative of the monthly "rollcall" threads. I figure if I openly post a list of all the minis I buy, I'll finish less then I acquire. I'm already off to a bad start: A Tau Ethereal, and a pack of Hellbore Frigates on ebay. $15, shipped. Not to bad. Then, yesterday: Armor through the ages box at the FLSG. Full retail $30. *sigh* So that's 8 minis acquired for $45 in 2010. And none finished... What about you? Lars Porsenna
Armor through the ages box at the FLSG. Full retail $30. *sigh* Nice set, I have one too. Now if only GW would sculpt up an entire squad for each design, I'd be a super camper. Me, I bought: ADB Klingon D7 (base coated, washed; may get around to highlighting tonite) & Zocci Federation CA (i.e. Enterprise, base coated and assembled). I also picked up some decals for both! 12 Late Romans from Crusader Miniatures. I'm still awaiting 12 Normans from gripping Beast, but they were ordered in 2009, and haven't arrived yet... And just today the Dark Elf Batallion from GW (from the Warstore of course!) I also just received today an old Esci M1 Abrams (OOP, and no one makes the Abrams in its original configuration), and have an M41G (West German version of the Walker Bulldog) awaiting painting. Sergeant_Crunch
For 2010 so far I've purchased: ADB - Plastic Federation Dreadnought - Federation Battlecruiser - Federation New Light Cruiser - Klingon C8 - Klingon C7 Ravenstar Studios - Mauridian Battleship - Mauridian Cruisers (2) The Cold Navy ships are in the mail at the moment and the ADB ships are at the new house waiting for me to finish moving and to finish the GZG FSE fleet. Moderator Froggy the Great Posted January 14, 2010 Moderator Share Posted January 14, 2010 While I haven't purchased anything new for the year, I did decapitate and re-head (and therefore have to paint) 23 Heroscape Morro figures. I've also made five terrain pieces and I don't know what they are, so that's like a purchase without spending money. For the purpose of painting down the Lead Mountain, this is what is known in bureaucratic terms as "Retrograde Progress".
Heisler
14 Days into the new year and I have not purchased any new minis.

warlordgarou
So far, only 2 of the chainsaw zombies from the Chronoscope line. But I also traded for an OOP Doomwheel (which needs a couple parts), and an OOP Screaming Bell, so they count as well, right? And I have a couple other trade deals in the works. I'm hoping to buy less than I paint this year, but that's probably not going to happen. I do know that I need to buy some serious storage before I add too many more figs, just to get things put up and out of the way.

Bruunwald
I'm not sure what happened. Usually, by now, I'd have a small pile of unpainted metal going. My wife bought me a good deal of Warmachine stuff and I managed a couple trips to the FLGS with birthday and holiday money at the end of December. That might be it. Or it might be the new rulebooks I've been purchasing take up the biggest chunk of my spending money. Less likely, though not impossible, is that I actually am cutting down on my minis spending, as I have long struggled to do. Otherwise, I can't think of any minis purchased since the new year other than Duncan Reid from the Anima Tactics game, who is destined to become a rakshasa through having his head lopped off and replaced with that of a tiger. (You know, business-as-usual type stuff.) This lack of spending in no way mitigates the shadow of shame looming over me and a dozen boxes' worth of metal and plastic still unpainted after years of collecting. The shame. The shame. At least I rationalize that if I don't spend the coin, the good folks at Reaper, and Hasslefree and so on would be unemployed. Individually, those words are all English, but they make no sense like that. I have no shame at the mounds of plastic and lead that occupy the various corners of the basement. Rather, those mounts of shiny metal and bare plastic are testament not just to my apparent army ADD (ooh, shinies! Need more cowboys for a game I may never run!), but also to the general high quality of the miniatures market. If Reaper et al did not make such quality stuff, I wouldn't be buying it. joshuaslater
Yeah. You're tellin' me exactly what I want to hear!! It is a testament to the times indeed. This past weekend I met a friend who introduced me to D&D back in '82, and he hasn't been into miniatures, ever. He did remark at how incredible the models are now compared to those early ones, and I love them dearly. I can't, I won't and I don't, stop. Kataclysm
Another Nova Corp soldier. 50003 - Ellen Stone 50057 - Miss Scarlet 50110 - Turk 50016 - Rosie (2nd time for her) 50081 - Father Thomas 50123 - Space Hero 50007 - Jessica Blaze I have a Diorama planned, but I'm missing 2 more figures. I really wish we could get some more modern/future figs. Maybe even some futuristic monsters for the space marines to fight!
Shakandara
Acquired YTD: 2 (P-65 Fire Giants) Painted YTD: 4 On the table: 4 more that will be finished by the end of January. Those numbers are nothing short of miraculous for me. ~v
