ZILLA
Kind of a strange topic, but Valentine's day is coming. My girlfriend likes my miniature painting, but showing off demons and warriors doesn't exactly "do it" for her. I want to paint something up for her as a gift to impress. Any suggestions, either Reaper minis or other line? Obviously no nudity or ravenous monsters, maybe an angel or unicorn. Please help, suggestions wanted. Shakandara
Do the Pirate King & Queen figs, but put a heart or something else suitably mushy on the flag. ~v
Castlebuilder
You could also pick up some of the cuter halfling figs and us the wing packs to turn them into Cherub types.
rgtriplec
So, your girlfriend doesn't want a naked Sophie demon for Valentines day? That seems odd. The pirate king and queen are cute and there are a couple unicorns. Personally, I think the cutest mini Reaper ever made was the limited edition baby elephant. But, he is nearly impossible to find now. Reaper isn't very into cute and cuddly. The limited edition Platypod is pretty darn cute though, and he's still available. He'd be my Reaper suggestion. For romantic and not cutesy, I know Thunderbolt Mountain Miniatures has a pair of lovers in there elf line, and Tom is an excellent sculptor. I have a pair and they are very nice. There is also a cute and comical mini by thunderbolt mountain of a slug he sculpted for his 4 year old called "Slug eat your face". Then there is the Frog Court minis by... Dark Sword Miniatures... I think they also have a few of the Sad Panda limited edition model too. They are all uber cool.
Spike
Paint her up one of the unicorns...or maybe one of the fairies... or angels... or if you want to really make an impression, paint this model up >> http://www.reapermini.com/FigureFinder#detail/02452 I could recommend some personal favourites too, but most girls aren't quiiiite as into orcs as I am. Inarah
There are a variety of familiar packs that might suit your needs, some have cute little dragons, kitties, bunnies, etc. There are several fairies, and a fairy princess. Plus the unicorns and pegasi. Reaper has a number of very beautiful sculpts if your GF is okay with warrior women or elven princes, and there's even a good selection who have clothes on. ixminis
Could you tell us what she DOES like? I've got a pretty good memory for who has what out there, but with "everything but" as the topic, that's kinda wide in scope. Name some movies, movie characters, books, book characters that she does like and that may help us focus the responses. Until then: I always thought that Echidnox and Platypod were cute & cuddly (although Echidnox isn't available)... but Platypod still is! Dana Murphy (54mm) is a suitably clothed and strong/independent looking lady. The Snowbunny Sophie is suitably dressed & she's got a fanged & winged bunny buddy that could probably be purchased separately. I'd check Chronoscope out since it's got alot of non-fantasy variety & genre's to choose from... although some of those definitely match your "no" list. okee,
ladystorm
You could also pick up some of the cuter halfling figs and us the wing packs to turn them into Cherub types. or just pick up the cupid/cherub pack....
