Wilwarin
This is another mini I'm sending out to a random friend to hopefully brighten their week. I wanted to make the nymph a sea-elf with tealish skin and pink hair. I found the perfect palette to use online and like how it comes out on her. Sadly, again, my shading isn't coming up well. You can see it on the back of her, but the front it is really hard. For the water I wanted to use a water effect and tried twice to do so, but it didn't look good, so I peeled it off and painted the area with "waves" and the deep "pool" I made for the water effect I darkened to make deep. Once she has her final coat of varnish on, I will gloss over the water to make it look more realistic. At the moment, it's quite dull. Her eyes are dark blue, and it's hard to see in the close-up of her face. Otherwise, here she is! Enjoy! Comments and Crits welcome! I will post pictures once she is completely finished (with the gloss water) After the new Water effect I got... I got Vallejo water effect gel and it is AMAZING. I really love it :) Now she has waves :D
Mercius
I like the choice of hair and skin color and you picked out all the little details really well with great brush control. The only issue I have with it is the base just does not work for me, but like you said, it is not completely finished yet. Did I mention I love the hair? MamaGeek
She looks like she just stepped out of the sea! Nice work.
Inarah
The blue and pink are a little bright for my tastes, but I think you did a good job with her. I have painted this one and her clothing is extremely fiddly.

I have painted this one and her clothing is extremely fiddly. Yeah, the fish netting was a challenge, but fun overall. Thanks, too :D Merc: I agree with you on the base. It's not my best, by far, but I had plans for it with a water effect and it didn't happen. MAYBE I can find something else to replace it with.. hmm... until then that's all I got ; maybe I can sculpt some waves with green stuff? Better than what it is now. MG: Thanks! awong
A very nice piece. I'm currently working on the same one and I had also picked a bluish green skin tone. I've yet to tackle the thin stringy bits...I'm having a hard time figuring out what half that stuff is. You did a great job of picking out all that detail, and soo cleanly too! Whomever the recipient, I'm sure they'll enjoy her.

Wilwarin
I got a jar of Vallejo water effects and used it on her base. I created waves with it and I must say, I LOVE IT!! :D She's getting sent out tomorrow to the lucky recipient.
