Wilwarin
First mini of March is finished. I've had her for a while and she definitely wasn't as well taken care of as my minis are now. I'm happy to have painted her and really like how she came out. Enjoy. Comments and Crits welcome and appreciated :)
Mercius
the armor turned out great....the base is really well done too, only nitpicky thing I can say is I don't dig the purple scabbard, but that is personal taste and aesthetics lol. Inarah
Nice job on all the details on her face, armor and shield, etc. I like the colors you used, all I can say against it is the hair is too bright and comes off as "solid". A little shading in the back and under the hair right around her face, and a touch of highlight on top would do a lot for her.
Wilwarin
Thanks for the compliments. Merc: For the scabbard I was trying to go for something that would make it stand out and not disappear amongst the rest of the colors. It was originally dark purple, but with highlighting it is now light lol :) Inarah: For the hair, it is actually highlighted and shaded. I don't know what's going on, but my pictures have been coming out grainy as of late and when I develop them in Photoshop, some colors come out way too much brighter than they actually are. I'll try to take new pictures tomorrow and see if I can mess with it more so it looks more like how she actually looks.
Mercius
i see....like I said, I was being nitpicky and it is a personal color choice...I am not keen on purples for some reason lol.
Mini Killer
Great work as always, I like how the armor came out and the face is great.
MamaGeek
Nice Job. Your fine lines (eyebrows, eyes) are getting more and more precise. Practice makes perfect, eh? I like the nice, bright colors, and the armor does look very good. Well done.

Hehe, that's absolutely fine. I was the same way, actually. No idea why I've warmed up to it since then lol. Thanks again, for the compliments, everyone. :)

Mercius, Dude, you wound my heart. Purple is my favorite color (Rockies Fan and all)and I seem to use it a lot in my figures (I wonder Why?)lol. Thasia, You did an excellent job. I agree with you about the camera or what happens to photos as you work in any of the photo editing programs. I had the same problem with my Finari; Her hair just looked yellow but I had good shading and varied degrees of blond including sandy. Keep up the good work. Jim Thanks. :) Yes, her hair is sandy as well and I gave it a wash of orange ink to fill in the lines and bring it out more, then did highlighting on it. I don't know what it is, but it seems with my pictures, yellows and reds always come out either too dark in the finished product or too light. It's weird! Mercius
Jim, I am sorry bud, not a big purple fan, but more power to all you who love it...I actually like deeper purples it is the lighter purples I am not that crazy about.

No Prob. I was just messing. Thasia had a great idea though. Most people would have went brown or black on the scabbard. Purple was a bold choice. Sergeant_Crunch
While I enjoy a good purple, from a composition point of view it sticks out on this piece as there's nothing else in the piece that ties the color in. If there had been a similiar or complimentary color (I'd give examples, but my color wheel is at home) somewhere else in the piece I think it would've worked better.
