hey Reaper people...

this is the first time i've had to come back with smaller pics...

feel a bit backwards...

the big pics were blowing out the paintjob too much, and made it hard to appreciate...

she looks better here...

hopefully you all agree...

i think that this size makes the highlights look a little smoother...

lesson learned, bigger is not always better...

cheers

Liked it before and I still like it now...the smaller pictures do a better job of making the highlights smooth. Thats a mistake I make with a lot of my pics is the mini is too big and you can see every little transition or mistake.

I agree with Mercius, the larger the image of the mini, the grainier they look. All of my miniatures seem to look better to the naked eye than they do in photos. But if we need to photos to post; a mid range shot is the best. I think she looks great. I have seen her on CMON. One of the better versions of Candy I have seen. Great Job.

Very nice. I love the work on Cola, ... quite Pikachu-esque. ;-)

I would comment that the face seems a bit angular to me, but that is probably just a style thing. Overall, very nice color choices and smooth painting.

thanks for the kind words everyone...

@olliekickflip: glad you've noticed the evolution...

i've been working really hard this last year on perfecting my style, as well as trying out every other style i can...

since i've quite working in the industry this year, i now have the freedom to experiment...

being able to paint what i want, when i want, has really opened up a lot of new creative doors...

now i'm off to learn NMM...

cheers

jah
