Easter Sharyn

This is the last of my box of minis I had to finish before I could buy more. She's an old mini I painted 2 years ago, and recently stripped to repaint. Her face was damaged, especially around the eyes, so I tried to keep that area simply painted. I apologize for the poor photography. I'm not really sure what's going on with my camera lately...

The WIP can be found here.

This is what she looked like when I painted her 2 years ago:

Joy, fantastic work as always....you would never know the face was damaged, it looks great. Your blends are phenomenal and your freehand continues to impress me. The only part I am not super excied about are the boots. They look rushed compared to all the detail seen in the rest of the mini. The gem on the staff is one of the best gems I have seen in a long time. 8/10 from me, great job!

very nice improvement...

i like the before and after shots...

it's always good to see painters progress, and improve the skills...

the gem on top of the staff is the standout bit of work, for me...

i really like the feathers as well...

the only thing that looks weak is the freehand...

a little too chunky...

cheers

Very nice, and its cool to see your improvement over the years.

To me its the details that really make this a stand out mini. The hair, the feathers, the gem on the staff. All the little bits really add to the whole. ^_^

The hair is the item that sticks out to me the most. I'm still trying to get that smooth look on a regular basis. Great job.

While I agree with Jah about the freehand, it's impressive as a representation of how far your skills have come... could you imagine even trying something like that two years ago!?

Great job, and a lot of fun to see the before and after. Thank you for sharing your hard work.

So do you have a list of mini's to buy now?

I bought a couple of GW figures to paint up for the Games Day Baltimore Golden Demon this August. I've written about this some on my website, if you're interested. I really wish I could have made it to Reapercon, but Texas isn't doable for me, and Baltimore is.

I like your paint job on this mini. Looks good! You have a very obvious increase in skill from the original version (I think I remember seeing you post pix of when you painted this some years ago...) Those before\after pix are always great - they show where you came from vs. where you are now...

Keep up the great work!
