vejlin
It may be I'm the only one not smart enough to figure out WHAT this product is. It's obviously a book, but is it a novel? a gaming supplement? what is it?
Lorderl
It may be I'm the only one not smart enough to figure out WHAT this product is. It's obviously a book, but is it a novel? a gaming supplement? what is it? I'm paddling a barrel right alongside you.., my first guess would be a novel but this could easily be useful as a realm supplement and while in my geek trance i was thnking how the description rosed up thoughts that this would make for an awesome D&D adventure path
Gus Landt
Heh, advertising fail on our part, eh? It is a novel set in Taltos. No pics, no rules, just fluff.

Gus Landt
So will this just be available straight from reaper or will I be able to get it through regular distribution channels? Only directly from us ATM. I'm planning to get it on amazon.com though.
Bumble_B
Thank you sooooooooooooooooooooooo much. This was greatly greatly needed. The pieces in the rule book were nice .. but you can only fit so much in something that is meant for rules and stats. Great games have always have great stories behind them. Bravo for this ! joshuaslater
Wish we were on frothers so I could cuss Reaper out for finding the second most addictive substance after pewter. I went crazy for the Warhammer novels, found some good, some bad, but many great reads, which I'll still pick up and read again. I hope Reaper has succes with these, and after my temper tantrum, I'll be buying your books.

SaintRigger
Ever read the MTG novels? It makes my teeth hurt just thinking about 'em. Really cool universe, really BADLY written.
shakhak
I'm excited to read it. I've been pouring over the old rule books for nuggets of lore. This will be a refreshing change of pace to quench my thirst for Warlord.
Stubbdog
Man, I just gotta say how much I am enjoying reading this book! I think the writer has done a great job of giving each "faction" its own personality in the book. Will try to post some of my favorite parts as I keep reading. So far, the Onyx Golem's entrance is probably near the top for me.. Anyone else reading this? If so, what are your favorite parts (without giving too many spoilers for others)? Wedge
I've recently finished the Warlord Rising book, it was quite good! I was really impressed with the first venture into the Warlord universe. Each of the major factions got a nod in the book, without feeling too formulaic, and there were a load of interesting new heroes/villains introduced. I would love to see some of these guys made into future minis. For specifics I'll go to spoiler text :) Lethal. Thats one word that really sticks out to me. I didn't keep count, but it felt like more than half of the primary point of view characters were dead or ambiguously defeated by the end of the novel. This was quite a welcome surprise and increases the tension of each encounter a great deal, since its very likely that a named character will die, even in a minor skirmish. I really enjoy this style of writing. I think my favorite scenes were involving the Reptus, but I'm pretty biased since they are my favorite faction. I particularly liked the principle Nagendra character and his interaction with the human hermit/monk early on (I'm terrible with names and I don't have the book in front of me). As far as bad guys are concerned, the Necromancer that started off living in the city of the undead was a really good villain. I particularly liked the scene where he fought the Crusader, killed her, then enslaved her body to his service. Very creepy and cool. I can't wait for the next installment, I'm hooked! joshuaslater
Thanks for not revealing much. I just started it last night. I'm not far enough along to even comment, literally a chapter as I went out for drinks with some friends. Think I'll start over and get down to business.
