mathewbaich
ok, here's my latest attempt in flesh after a bunch of asking around from the various artists at reapercon and some searching on my own. I'll probably add more midtone to the face on this one as it's still pretty dark. I researched my colors from numerous boris vallejo pieces as he's pretty much the go-to artist when it comes to flesh. enjoy and any criticism is welcome! thanks! cookjimjr
Looks pretty good so far. Boris is my favorite fantasy artist, so I know what you mean. For 2D images he sure made them real. I see you got the CON Sophie. Man I sure hope I can find someone that picked up a few of these for us unfortunate people that will not be able to attend any of the mentioned Cons this year. She is a sweet mini and I would love to add her to my collection. I am looking forward to see this WIP progress. Thanks for being one of the first here on the forum to give her a try. mathewbaich
ok, here's a semi-brighter pic but for some reason, the eyes and face came out slightly blurry as I have no f-stop function on my camera. I'm calling the face officially done! what do you guys think of the colors for the flesh so far?
morganm
I'd call it done too! Very smooth. Great work on the eyes as well.

MamaGeek
I suggest adding a spot of white highlight on her lower lip, but the skintones on her face look lovely. You need some more midtones transitioning between light and dark between her breasts, but otherwise, it's coming along nicely!

Do have a question though, What color(S) are you using on the lips. Every thing I try either leaves the mini bloodless or looking like a stage host

Every thing I try either leaves the mini bloodless or looking like a stage host I just use RMS bright red mixed with my flesh tones for highlights. and also another trick is to paint lipstick on the bottom lip only, otherwise you end up with a clown instead of a beautiful succubus. Void
Looks great! My only critique would be that her cheek is looking slightly less saturated than the rest of her skin (I would expect it to be the same or more saturated). I think this is due to the highlight and shadow being so close together, leaving no room for midtone and losing a touch of color identity. It does however give here a nice sharp cheekbone. Fabulous job on the eyes by the way! Can't wait to see it finished.
mathewbaich
another small update. Not touching her face with paint any more as I can't really get a good "midtone" without her face going really dark and making it look like her cheeks are sunken in. did a quick job on her arm today and touched up her chesticles some with a semi-good midtone, though you can't really see it. enjoy! cookjimjr
I really like what your doing here. I think Boris would like it also. The eyes are fantastic and the skin is coming along nicely. Can't wait to see more.
