WizardOne
I'm posting this to document an idea overheard at the ArtistCon. Someone suggested the creation of a weaponry sprue under the Chronoscope umbrella that would contain the murder weapons from the "Clue!" board-game. I did a little research and found out somebody has already had a go at it. No idea what scale, but . . . The originals apparently were: Wrench (Spanner in British), Noose, Dagger, Pipe, Candlestick, and the Revolver. If there was a Reaper version I'd like to see the Reaper Version improve on some of these sculpts. But, I like the way the noose is double-stranded to make it a sturdy, thick and mold-able item. The wrench needs better detail. I wish the dagger was unsheathed and a Bowie Knife pattern. I'd like to see the pipe have an elbow joint on one end, it'd be more recognizable as a pipe if it had that. The candlestick needs better detail and I wish the revolver was more of a Samuel Colt pattern. In other words I'd like to see these items improved and Texan-i-fied. It would be so cool if there were maybe a total of twelve items on the sprue . . . additional items might be such things as: Derringer, Cane (swirly decorative shaft -- murderous big knob on the top), Flashlight (that's Electric Torch for the Brits), Meat-Cleaver, Rolling-pin, Ice-Pick Handle. Somebody suggested the ice pick Saturday but it would be better just to do the handle and leave it to the converter to use a pin-vise to add a paper-clip or straight-pin wire to it. A bit more research: Some expanded versions of the game seem to have had eight weapons adding a Horseshoe and a Poison Bottle? or nine weapons, adding Poison, Blunderbuss, and an Axe (Hatchet in Texian...) ? All-Terrain Monkey
Er, correct me if I'm wrong, but I think those are the actual sculpts of the game pieces, not someone's attempt to recreate them .
cutebutpsycho
That was what I thought as well......
WizardOne
Er, correct me if I'm wrong, but I think those are the actual sculpts of the game pieces, not someone's attempt to recreate them . I have no (ahem) . . . clue . . . I have never owned any version of the game. I just went looking for pix on the web to learn more. That noose looks like plastic but the other items look like they might be metal? (I also apologize for initially failing to find the Chronoscope version of this thread... ...probably should have posted it there.)
King Tiger
As a kid we (sisters & friends) played Clue regularly. The noose was indeed made from plastic while the other murder weapons were metal. Not sure if today's sets are made of the same materials.
Quantarum
I'll add my request for more giants, the new frost and fire giant designs are awesome. I'd love to see a cloud giant with a very elaborate costume. -Q.
rgtriplec
Not sure if this is DHL or Chronos, but I'd like to see something like the monster from Pan's Labyrinth with the saggy skin and eyes in his palms, and a giant owl.

jdripley
I very rarely duck into this thread, and always feel like I'm probably asking for something that others have asked for before, and always apologize for that. Ok, introspective moment over... Human males with spears. There's a limited number of spear models compared to, say, sword, or even hammer, and a high proportion of the spear models are demi-humans. A good number of the humans are females, to boot! But it'd be sweet to have more selection of males with spears.
Nomadik
I haven't really seen any Nosferatu miniatures out there, I'd love to see that. Count Orlock!
MikeD
I haven't really seen any Nosferatu miniatures out there, I'd love to see that. Count Orlock! I think West Wind has something like that in their Vampire Wars line. There miniatures are okay, but their stuff isn't really up to Reaper standards, so I'd love to see Reaper do one, too! Loim
I know Reaper has already done this in a few cases, but I would like to see some more miniatures that had customizable options. Different heads, helms, possibly different arms. I also realize this would make such an item more expensive, but I still think it would good to have the options. While they are decent, they just aren't at quality standard, they are also closer to 25mm than "Heroic 28mm". These guys have integrated pewter bases too, so I glued them on a plastic base and rounded the pewter base to it with some putty. It gets the mini to stand at the correct height without really noticing the "clever basing technique" to give him height.

Lucifer_Draconus
Oops I forgot one suggestion: Plastic Warlord unit packs at affordable prices. Possibly sprewed modular ones to ease in conversions.. just for the common soldiers.
