Maceswinger
So I am coming to Colombus the end of the July to visit my family, and since I'm staying 2 weeks I was wondering if any Warlord player might be willing in playing a Warlord 2 game with me. I do own the Warlord 1 book but never got the play it. Sadly I can't take any minis with me (but i might take some back home to germany with me ;) ) Anyone interested? shakhak
The end of July is a tight time frame for me, but I would love to roll some dice. I don't know where any hobby shops are in the area, but we can sort that out later. Is anyone else on the forum from the Columbus area, that would know the lay of the land? We have a rivalry brewing between the Cincinnati group and the Mansfield Teddy Bears so I'll make sure to invite them.
GreyHorde
Off the top of my head, I'd say The Guardtower on Trabue (westside) has the most gaming space in town. Ravenstone on Karl Ct is small but friendly and has a gaming area, too. In either case, call ahead to make sure you don't run into a league or tournament. Castlebuilder
GreyHorde is correct, both the Guard Tower (West Side) and Ravenstone (North Side) are good locations. I also have a pretty full schedule in July, but I can surely make some time to come down to Columbus for a game, especially if some of the guys from Cinci are coming. And I'll bet that I can bring alone some other people too.
sethohman
Keep me in the loop - decent chance I could make it over for an event, too.
Maceswinger
Well if the date helps I am coming around on July 26th and staying till August 2 or so (wifes got the dates )
shakhak
Let's schedule a gather for July 31st or Aug 1st and see if we can get people to come. Which is better for you Maceswinger? It will be a good chance for other players to swap opponents and try out their Gen Con tournament armies and we'll run some demos to make an event out of the whole thing. Call it a Savage North release party or something! Can anyone get in contact with those stores and see if they would host such a gathering? Castlebuilder
We just had to pick the week before GenCon, didn't we? I am going down to Columbus on Friday to pick up some plaster and visit with Sergei. We can check things out then.
GreyHorde
Yeah, I would be tempted to make the run up to Columbus (3.5 hours or so), but can't make it right before Gen Con and to Columbus at the end of August.
Castlebuilder
Let's schedule a gather for July 31st or Aug 1st and see if we can get people to come. Which is better for you Maceswinger? I can't do the 31st, but Aug 1st would work for me.
dewen
Weekend before GenCon might be tough, but I will do my best. 31st or 1st is ok with me. I'd prefer the 31st.
Maceswinger
Either would work for me.
Castlebuilder
Sergei and I checked out the shops today. Both have room on Sunday, Aug 1. If we do the Guard Tower, we will have to compete with noise from the Pokemon players. Ravenstone will only have a RPG group in another room. My vote is for Ravenstone. shakhak
I'm ok with Ravenstone on the 1st. Lets do it.
