dewen 4 Report post Posted July 2, 2010 I ran some demos at ReaperCon using what I could find. This is what I had for Origins. I hope those with the opportunity to play with the cardboard box board appreciate this one :)
chipchuck 34 Report post Posted July 2, 2010 WOW!!!! Yeah, that's exactly what my mind's eye made out of the cardboard boxes. LOL. This is fantastic! Can't wait!
Beowulfthehunter 1969 Report post Posted July 2, 2010 What PDF terrain set is this? How much does it cost and where did you get it? Awesome job, I have been wanting to do a set up like this for a while.

dewen 4 Report post Posted July 3, 2010 What PDF terrain set is this? How much does it cost and where did you get it? Awesome job, I have been wanting to do a set up like this for a while. Combination of Fat Dragon Games and World Works Games. Very inexpensive sets (<$15 each IIRC). They are glued to foam board or foam core for durability and so that metal models can sit on the roofs. The billboards and dumpsters are resin from Armorcast. The small items (bench, trash can, newspaper) are metal from a company I can not recall.
dewen 4 Report post Posted July 3, 2010 Another shot closer with ApeX and Zenith slugging it out
Arkhein 1 Report post Posted July 3, 2010 Oh yes, that is quite awesome - but the cardboard ones at REapercon did give it a more 'rustic' feel. :)
Anne 548 Report post Posted July 3, 2010 Do you use any kind of spray sealer on them once they are assembled? The close up picks are awesome!
dewen 4 Report post Posted July 5, 2010 The street and sidewalk tiles are glued to wood 2x2. I did seal them with matte varnish. The buildings can't be spray sealed because of the foam core that could be exposed. The spray may dissolve it. If you wanted to seal the buildings, that would have been done prior to gluing them to the foam board.

Those benches, newspaper dispensers, and trashcans look like the ones MegaMinis sells.
