Looking for a good Treasure Chest

I am in need or a treasure chest, with a sepearate lid, or one I could cut and re-attach easily. something easily removed from its base as well, so it could be set on a dungeon floor as just a basic chest.

Doest Reaper make such? All I can find is the 54mm chest from the 54mm pirate sophie. I would order that but I dont know the dimentions, and what it would look like next to a 28mm character. Id like something about 15mm long and 6-7mm wide.

Any help? Here or Otherwise?

D.

Try searching "treasure" in the Figure Finder - Reaper has a few other options that you missed.

If those don't do it for you, IIRC HirstArts has at least one mold you can use to cast your own in plaster or whatever. No doubt they're available in resin &/or metal from other miniatures companies as well; these are just the ones I know about. Then there are kids' toys from toy/dollar/craft/etc. stores; you might get lucky there too, especially if you're not too fussy about scale and/or level of fine detail...

Good luck,

Kang

I've got a bunch of the Hirst Arts chest, I can send you one, but they are closed per the mold. Try also mega miniatures, I think they might have what you need.

Kang,

That would be very kind of you. Could I saw through the chest with a Jewelers saw and open it up? I would be happy to buy two or three off of you so I could experiment. Please PM me and we can connect.

Just for grinz I tried "treasure chest miniature" in the Google image search. There were many promising looking items. Including two paper fold-up designs:

Search and ye shall find :poke:

there is a treasure chest with a deteachedable/opened lid in the 54mm .. gaah.. reclining pirate lass whose name I can't remember.

Yes, its pretty reasonable as well. I was hoping to get someone to measure it for me though, before I bought it.

Black Tree Design do a set of treasure chests. The bigger ones also have seperate lids and they are 28mm. I can take a picture next to some Reaper minis if you want a better idea of their size.

Ler,

That would be fantastic.

I hope that helps too, since if you're still waiting for me to PM you about sending HirstArts chests, you're gonna be spit out of luck; it was captenglish who said some might be available - I was merely aware of their existence & don't actually own the mold for making chests.

I really am very kind, as you said (not to mention intelligent, attractive, wealthy, powerful, and especially humble), but not quite that kind! ::): (though I'd gladly send you some samples if I had any)

FWIW, I think you probably could cut them open with a jeweller's saw; hollowing out the lid and the inside of the chest would be the tricky part...
