This week's madness!

Recommended Posts

Here are a few projects that I finished up this week. 19 Grey Knight Terminators, 5 Imperial Fist Terminators, 5 Night Wing Imperial Fist Terminators and 11 Grey Knights heavy weapons guys. All of the terminators took and hour and a half and the heavy weapons guys took an hour each.

Here are the heavy weapons guys. Sometimes its hard to stay focused with these commissions...especially with larger squads and such so I make a check off list. This helps me keep on track and on time!!

...and here are more terminators for my friends Imperial Fist army! He wanted 5 of them in his original yellow scheme and 5 in the new "night wing" scheme. I am not at all excited to fight these guys in our next Apocalypse game...ahhhhhhhh!!!

Very nice! Good idea, using a checklist. I tend to get really scatterbrained when I'm painting armies, and someone inevitably ends up "different" from the rest.

I think you need to change to a lighter background for those group shots. Its really hard to see the minis against that dark background. Otherwise they look great.

Very nice.

It has been a while since I painted army-units, but I don't think I ever got such good results so fast.

The freehand -- on the purity seals, cloak, shields, and blades -- really adds a lot.

Is there a color-shift in the photos with the blue backgrounds? The silver armor and even the bases look very blue.

@DKS: Yeah, thats kinda a major color shift there!!! The background is actually black...like the first pic with the leader. I had to move my camera back a couple of inches to include the 5th guy and didn't change my lighting. Anyways, the group shots were just to get a feel of the squad. The pics with the white background are a more acurate rendition of the colors. As for the speed painting thing...I try to get the most out of my time! I think that I'm getting better with each job. Watching both yourself and Jeremie paint so quickly with such high quality has inspired me to take tabletop paintjobs to the next level so to speek...yet still be affordable!!

@Sea Change: Yeah, I was looking for a fast effective way to do the power swords...I think they turned out rather well!!

Very cool stuff. I love the fire weapons. Paint jobs like this makes me wish I get a commission customer that wants some 40K stuff so I can see what I can do.
