Beholder WIP

Not slamming Trollforged here, and they deny me the coolest beholder mini ever. Why, oh why, isn't that a Reaper mini? I would already have it. ;)

It started as a fan's sculpting of a beholder, Wotc's IP and still is fairly close. Thread is still labeled as such too. Were Reaper to consider such a mini, they would probably want it to be slightly more visually distinct from the wotc IP.

Hey, I just found this thread when googling for beholder minis cause i'm currently doing one myself. I instantly fell in love with your work when seeing you were also going for the anatomy approach but ending up with something totally cool, looking completely different from what I did. Also I am extremely jealous of these cool clawed eyes, wish that was my idea ;)

 

Too bad it got discontinued by the resin caster, I would really like to have one. Since 2013, did you find someone else to produce these?

No, not yet.  But I am currently considering doing it myself.
