rgtriplec
First, what factions do you play? Second, what is your favorite faction? Third, what faction do you plan to start playing in the next 12 months? I play Reven, Dwarfs, Mercs, Elves, and the Dogs, in that order most to least. I also own enough angels to field 1500 of Flying Sisters. My favorite faction is Reven. I like the whole underdog confederation aspect. The only thing I'll buy into is probably Nefsokar and maybe a small Yeti/were-fox company or a small non-skellie Razig company.
ktyler09
Currently - Dwarves, Kragmarr and Kargir Within a year - Koborlas and maybe Darkspawn
shakhak
Darkspawn, Reptus, Razig, Koborlas, and Darkreach. Right now I'm loving Darkreach, but since I hate proxies I'll quickly move on to the Lupines as my primary force. Not sure what army is next, but there are plenty of Lupines and evil elves to buy. The bloodstone gnomes are so freaking tempting...
Shakandara
I own sizable armies of everything except Kargir, Reven, and Mercs. Of those, I have only not logged games with Darkreach and Icingstead. Reptus are always my home faction, but I love me some O'lords. They suit my playstyle. Over the next year or so, my goal will be to fill out the SN factions (they are currently up-to-date with what's available now that I want), start building a Merc force that I like (I hate the city-watch-reject rank and file soldier sculpts, but love the datacards), and find a few good proxies for the Blade Sisters (another set of soldier models I don't like the sculpts for). Somewhere in there, I'll finally play my first games with Darkreach and Icingstead. ~v
Humansquish
I have a large army for Darkspawn (did anyone not know that yet?) and decent sized armies for Reptus, Razig, Sister, and Necropolis. I have small armies for Nefsokar and Icingstead. I'm working on getting Icingstead larger. My favorite faction is Darkspawn but Icingstead is really growing on me. Currently I'm not playing any of the factions because I don't have a car to get to the hobby store to try to get a group started. I'm hoping to fix my car this summer though. spiritual_exorcist
Necropolis 4637 points (Still want to add some Ghasts) Crusaders 3389 points (Think I'm pretty well finished with these) Reven 3140 points (Need a couple more Ogres) Nefsokar 2235 points (I haven't got any anubis warriors, wouldn't mind a few of them) Dwarfs 2356 points (Sheild Maidens, Miners, a few more Elementals) Reptus 1666 points (4 or 5 Trolls and a Troll Spellcaster would round this smallish army out) Up Next: Darkreach (Spellcaster focused force), BSG (I really want a Golem heavy army), Icingstead (Go the Giants) Not sure if I have a favorite, although I've for sure played Necropolis the most. wildbill
This may come as a major surprise to everyone , but my primary army that I play is the Dwarves. I own like over 150 Dwarf models, which are a mix of Warlord and DHL models. I have no idea how many points that they would add up to, but it's a lot. I own a decent sized Razig army, but they are from back in the day. I don't own any newer sculpts for them. I could probably field a decent force up to around 2,000 points or so. I also have a Darkspawn army, but it is very specifically designed to be 1,500 points. I have a few other random models that would enable to flesh out the army to maybe 1,750 points, but I would have to get some more models to make it really effective past 1,500 points. I have no plans to do so at this time. I have played every faction in the core rulebook numerous times, but I always use proxies if it isn't the Dwarves. This is mainly because we are just playing in someone's game room. We all do it around here. It's not a big deal for us. I did playtest the Kragmarr (again, shock of the century ) but that is the only SN army that I played with. I will look through the book to see if any of the other factions strike me as awesome enough to want to buy the models. Chances are I will just continue with the proxy policy for now. DanyBoy
Dwarves +/- 4000 points (500 painted) Crusaders +/- 3000 (1500 painted) Necropolis +/- 4000 points (1500 painted) In the next year I will be working on painting my Dwarves (they are my favorite) and bringing my Necros and Crusader over the 2000 points mark. I'll try to find the time... I'm planning to add a fourth maybe Overlords, or Revens, or Kragmarr in the next two years...
WizardOne
First, what factions do you play? Reven - I have enough for 1000-1500 points Second, what is your favorite faction? I have only played Reven. But, I like that Overlord Logo... Third, what faction(s) do you plan to start playing in the next 12 months? Kargir - since several Reven figures I have could do double duty. Overlords, Necropolis, Dwarfs/Kragmarr, Crusaders, Reptus: I have some figures from all these factions and it would not be difficult to put together 500 point forces for some of them. Is 1000 points the smallest usual force size?
spiritual_exorcist
RE: 1000 points I would say this is the standard game size, but it by no means set in stone. Many groups prefer 1500-2000 because they like to play with either large armies or, possibly more likely, enjoy having alot of whiz-bang nifty and expensive units on the board at the same time. Smaller 300 or 500 type games are common for demo games, or quick pick up games where you only want to play a short while or get multiple games in. Play with what size you want, I've yet to see the game mechanics breakdown because the points cost was too small or large. I think everyone should remember what Bill pointed out, essentially once you have a decent number of models from a single faction, you usually have enough models of various sizes and description to proxy several other factions. Ultimately models are just glorified markers. I merely have a stupid number of factions and models on the go because I love the Warlord range in general (Plus I tend to confuse myself when I proxy). Also, we are all playing opponents, and usually those opponents are playing a different faction. Swap factions every once in a while, play your friends army and let him play yours. rgtriplec
No, some people like 500 point games. Most people tend to play between 500 and 1500.
wildger
Necropolis - 1952 pts painted, including a familiar. Two more figures to go to make it to 1500. I am debating whether I should start a second army on Icingstead.
Solomon
Well, I just got started a couple of months ago. I have a little over 600pts worth of Dwarves. I am painting through them and planning on picking up more to make it 1000pts at least. I have been looking into some other factions as well. Right now, I am considering Overlords, Kargir, or Bloodstone Gnomes, but I am leaning most heavily towards Kargir because the Orc models are awesome

Brushmaster
What factions do I play , better to ask what I don't . Ok then , Crusaders , Necropolis , Reven , Dwarves , Elves , Nefsokar , Overlords , Reptus , Sisters of the Blade , Koborlas , Mercs , Icingstead and Kragmarr . No real favourite but I mostly use Sisters , Koborlas , Overlords and Crusaders . No new factions as I have enough .
