Lord Wehrmacht
Heya folks! It is a good bet no one remembers me but I used to regularly paint and post here. Unfortunately, and I know fieldarchy will laugh at this a bit, I took some time off to do the grad school thing. I am now within 4 months of finishing that up and I find myself being drawn back. This time with, I hope, alittle more patience and depth. Having just returned from GenCon (all I can say is wow) I am looking forward to getting back on the horse. To all my old acquaintances, hello again! To everyone I have yet to meet here, I am looking forward to it greatly! LW
Moderator TaleSpinner Posted August 9, 2010 Moderator Share Posted August 9, 2010 Welcome back! Lots of new faces around here since you were here last, and a few of us old ones too. So what did you get your masters in? Andy

Lord Wehrmacht
Welcome back! Lots of new faces around here since you were here last, and a few of us old ones too. So what did you get your masters in? Andy Thanks Andy, I am finishing up my masters in Library and Information Science. The real trick will be finding a job in this economy. I might be stuck in the retail world longer than I wanted to be.
King Tiger
Looking to work in a public library, or at a school district/university? If its the latter there is often jobs to be had in schools south of the Mason Dixon line. However the unions there are very week. So working at a school in the South isnt always the greatist experience by a long shot.

At this point I would be happy with a job in the profession!
Heisler
My brother in law has his first degree in library science and was finally able to land a position in a public school, but was never able to even get an interview for a public library. Those jobs are few and far between and there are a lot of people looking for them. It really doesn't help that local government is shutting down branch libraries either. Good Luck!
