Easy, by taking a horde of barbarians. Andrewithasword
OK, I see now. I have to repeat some of my figures to get to a 1000 points barbarian army.

Unfortunately, that's not how that works. Whether they are alive or dead, if they are part of your roster for the battle, then you aren't all-barbarian. ~v
Looter
To be quite honest the Humans of Icingstead are actually quite effective overall. It might be a bit different to run the giants of Icingstead without giants but your army will still be quite effective.

I like the theme here and the wolves will work well with the shaman and the troll to keep the enemy occupied with their Monstrous Faction Doctrine while still providing line of sight. Some of your magic is going to have to be used by an ironskin spell if you are fighting anything with ranged because without any deflect or high DV long ranged fire is going to be devastating. An army like this would be very dangerous to yours. I call it my reach out and touch somebody army. Any ideas on what I might change to address this without losing the focus of the army?

I like the theme so if you want to really explore the theme out turn one or even two of the yeti into wolves to add some reach to your army and harass the enemy with some long range swift attacks. Especially if you can work the flanks a bit and kill casters or archers bothering you. if you don't mind humans as bait and fodder you could try something like this: Icingstead - 500 pointsTroop 1Dorog Frostclaw, Yeti ChieftainOga Snowpelt, Yeti ShamanYeti WarriorWinter Wolf x 2Barbarian Spearthrower x 2Barbarian AxemanTroop 2Ice TrollTroop 3Winter Wolf x 4 This has the added advantage to getting more types of damage available in the same troop. Thus you have ranged, melee and magic damage to try and weaken larger targets before finishing them.

In fact I had made it when thinking of what you were doing. For the purposes of your thoughts I think it will help a lot to have the extra wolves in your first troop. Their speed will help you manage the fights better by allowing different angles of attack. One of the things that makes me sad about the expansion factions is they are narrow in scope. One thing they do and that is very good but more general army lists not so much.
