scotty kahn
Painting this one up for the wamp competition. My pictures are looking over lit but hopefully you can get the idea. Let me know what you think.
Darius Glenwell
I would add some more shadows to the yellow. Meg told me that purple works well for that. Wouldn't need a lot, just in the deepest folds.
Mercius
I agree with DG on the shadows on the yellow. This contest is going to be awesome, lots of great miniatures going into it!
Darius Glenwell
Yep. You see where the shadow falls on the back of the head? That's where I would put it. Maybe a little bit of a black/blue shadow on the cloak as well. I think your highlights are fine. At the tip of the sword there is still a little bit of flash that I would file off. Don't know how picky WAMP will be about that, but why take chances. I'm really harping on the shadows thing though. Even the armor and sword could use some more, and then bring those highlights up nice and bright. Meg, Mark, Rhonda and I have been realizing that deeper shadows and higher highlights are the key to really making a mini POP. Hope this helps Scotty! Good luck! Oh and yes. I agree with Mercius. Going to be a great contest.
chipchuck
What is the putty stuff you stick it to the paint bottle with?
Wilwarin
Very nice job so far! I like how the metals are coming out and the colors look gorgeous. Can't wait to see further progress!!
scotty kahn
Thanks everyone. I will for sure see about pushing my shadows deeper tonight then. @ Chipchuck. I just use postertac to stick my models to old paint pots while I work on them.
Grimwolf
Lookin good bro! I like the color choices. The light is really messing with how the model looks in person. You need to get that figured out before posting this for the contest. As the picture is all they can go off. Good stuff though bro!! (Why isn't this on SW??!?!?) scotty kahn
Alrighty. Perhaps these pics will be a bit better. I tried to deepen the shadows a bit and think I got the hair done. I feel like I need to work on the face more but its so small I'm sort of lost as to what to do.
