Hey everyone,

Here is the latest finished project. I think this turned out alright, but I have struggling lately with chalky paints. I think the higher than normal humidity and the fact that my painting area is right next to the swamp cooler may be messing with my paints. They were a lot smoother prior to summer. Anyway, I hope you all like her.

C & C welcome as always.

Is the piece of trash on her left raised up? It looks like it's blowing away in the wind. Maybe I'm just seeing things.. well, if it's intentional then: you are awesome. This is so cool.. you can really see that the wind is blowing her cape and the trash that way. I also love the shadow on her, and the coke can etc.

Might be better if the barrel were a trash can, though? That's the only suggestion I can make. Overall it's pretty spectacular.

Even Though I did make the paper trash so that it would look like it was blowing in the wind, the effect was not noticeable until the shading was added. It is nice that you noticed.

I wanted to use a trash can, but did not have anything that would have looked right, and I have to work with limited funds, so I use what I have laying around. I thought about a mail box also (I did have one of those), but I thought the Barrel would give the scene a more back alley feel.

I wanted to thank everyone for the comments and critique. While I had her up for sale on e-bay, I was sent a question which was to me a great compliment. The person had asked if I could tell them who makes the base so they could buy one. They were a little disappointed when I told them that I put it together myself and did not buy it that way.
