Divine might spell

just a quicky here. The spell states that the model gains mighty for its next combot action I believe this includes ranged attacks as well correct.

Thanks

Target model gains the Mighty SA for its next Fight Action
-Warlord 2nd Edition, p. 47. I think because it says "Fight" action as opposed to "Combat" that it would only work for Melee, but I could be wrong about that.

100% correct. The model gains Mighty only for a Fight Action, which means it doesn't work for Shoot Actions.

The next Fight action could be quite a long ways off though. A spell like that is great to cast on the first turn, when a more directly offensive spell would still be out of range. You cast Divine Might and the effect lingers until used, so you can use the action on the first turn, then later on the second turn you don't have to decide between buffing your ally or attacking the enemy - you can go ahead and attack the enemy with your spells, and have the guy you buffed still take advantage of the spell.

Really?? I was under the impression that spells kinda "went away" after the round they were cast (unless specifically stated otherwise). Can you actually pre-buff models for use in later turns? And could you then "stack" spells on a model for future use? If so, it could get a little confusing later in the game...... "No wait! I buffed him on the first three turns.... Now he has 25 attacks!!"

Absolutely! Round here, it is not uncommon to pre-buff your main dude with extra attacks, bless, mighty, etc before teleporting him into your opponent's end zone later in the game.
