Darius Glenwell
Been working diligently on getting better at NMM. I don't think I did the bronze on the hilt of his sword and dagger very well, but I'm strapped for time right now with a big commission job coming to me. As always C&C appreciated on it. I think his hair turned out exactly the way I wanted it. Also the leather is looking pretty good too. :D Enjoy!
AmbyDextrous
oh, i like this one a lot!
Ferox
That looks great! The NMM turned out really well everywhere but the sword, at least from my perspective. I've never found stripes of "shiny" across a flat surface to be all that convincing -- unless you've got a local light source (object-sourced lighting, for example), light just doesn't reflect that way on a plane. The metal trim on the scabbard is a much better example of NMM on a flat surface, IMHO. The leather is, as you say, superb, and the cloak's none to shabby either. Inarah
I think he looks really good. You did a lot with the details on him.
Darius Glenwell
Amby and Inarah, thanks. I've been really working on my nmm and even getting better flesh tones. Ferox, I've done better work. The sword isn't my favorite part. I like his hair, leather parts, and shield.
shakespearebymonkeys
I like the metal texture, personally. It looks especially cool on the shield and the metal studs.
demonelf3
Good work there mate, you've got good contrast going. Now you need to work on your blends! The sword looks very convincing if I squint, but that's because it's too rough. The placement is there, just not the blends.
awong
Overall, he's a very cleanly painted piece. Your color choices and the separations that you get between materials and objects really make him read well. The only thing I would suggest is to do something with the basing. Granted, you're probably moving on but for a fast enhancement, that's where I'd go for "more bang with less bucks". -AW
