Bearfoot_Adam
So Both the Poison roll and the pain token healing happen in the end phase. Which happens first? I had a situation where the poison would have killed a model but the character spent pain tokens to heal before the poison roll, which he subsequently failed. Shakandara
Good question, though I would point out that the Poisoned model state points out that if a Poisoned model is successfully healed, it is no longer Poisoned. So although the conditions of your example aren't quite right, the matter of the order of resolution is. If the Poison is resolved first, it could trump the Doctrine's ability, meaning it could potentially deny a model the opportunity to be healed at that point. The reverse, of course, would be the not only does the Doctrine ability occur first, but because it is a healing effect, it negates the Poison entirely, representing a potential 2-point swing in the damage level of the model in question. ~v

Thats why I asked it.

As it does not specify, I would have to argue that you may resolve it in any order that you wish, much like melee, ranged, or spells in the Combat. Bearfoot_Adam
But who's wish? The player who was poisoned or the poisoner?
Shakandara
Actually, Brian makes an interesting point. It is *your* model, and *your* end-of-turn resolution. You roll the die for the Poison token, not the opponent. In absence of rules to specify, I can certainly see where that would open the opportunity for you to decide in what order you wish to resolve those actions/effects. ~v
Gus Landt
My models, my Poison checks, my Pain Cage. Best believe I'm choosing the order.

Bearfoot_Adam
As Shak asked. Will it then negate the poison check then because it is healed?
Qwyksilver
Pain Cage, p 71 "The player may heal any damaged model 1 point of damage for 6 tokens." Poison State, p 36 "If a model is successfully healed it is no longer poisoned" Seems pretty cut and dry. If you use Pain Cage first, then you get rid of the Poison state as well. If you make your Poison check first, you're just running the risk of wasting Pain Tokens. You're spending 6 tracks worth of dead models to heal a single track of damage. Losing the Poison state doesn't seem like an overwhelming bonus to me. Edited October 19, 2010 by Qwyksilver
Shakandara
Yeah, I didn't really ask - it was more of a statement. Any healing before the time of the Poison check negates the Poisoned model state. ~v

Lawgiver
Monkey Wrench: Can you heal a poisoned model already at full damage tracks? (I vote yes, just being a 's advocate ) e.g. model with 1 DT gets hit and poisoned. Makes his tough check from them damage and is up but still poisoned. Can he be healed? Shakandara
I'd gladly let someone burn pain tokens/spell points to not heal their models. :) ~v
