Chrome
I caught the last few seconds of an ad for this movie on TV last night, so I had to go find it online today. Looks like it might be good. Kinda like a more hard-core Independence Day. http://movies.yahoo.com/movie/1810147516/info (look below the movie poster for the trailer link)
sethohman
No way it could possibly be worse than Skyline Chili, anyways.

Nanite
Apparently Donald Faison plays a character named Turk... Scrubs vs. Aliens, I'm in. Edit: There's also BattleField: Los Angeles due in January. Similar plot, better cast. I can find very little info about it though. And Monsters is getting good reviews. Chrome
Is Battlefield: LA the sequel to Battlefield: Earth? But seriously, sometimes I think we'd all be better off is some giant monster or aliens really did attack LA and just wiped it off the planet. It'd get rid of a lot of the peeps who drag down the genepool too. Like people who can't come up with names any better than Battlefield: LA, or NCIS: Los Angeles, or Law & Order: LA. I hadn't heard about Monsters until just a few days ago. There's a trailer for that on movies.yahoo.com too - it looks pretty good. At first I figured it was just some low-budget B movie, but some of the stuff in the trailer looked pretty top notch, especially the wall (I think that's what it was) at the border. Yahoo also has an extended clip from the movie. Its about 2 1/2 minutes long, but of course it ends right before the cast may or may not get attacked by a monster. PS - You know why they had to make it Battlefield: LA? Because if it'd been Battlefield: Anywhere in the Midwest/South, the aliens woulda gotten blasted by several thousand good 'ol boys, hunters, and gun nuts. CA, NYC, Washington, and Chicago are prolly the safest places that any invasion force could land.

sethohman
Speaking of giant monster movies, Dreamworks picked up Monsterpocalypse from Privateer Press. Tim Burton has signed on to direct. If done as live action, it should be really good. I am thinking along the lines of Mars Attacks, rather than Cloverfield.

No, I'm taking into account the character of the people who'd illegally own a firearm. I don't see the Grape Street Crips or the Black P-Stones banding together to save their neighborhoods. They'd most likely be the first ones bailing to save their own skins.

I was cited for being in possession of an illegal firearm in high school because I shot a spitball with a straw. I live in fear that my door is going to be kicked down because of the collection of NERF guns I have from one of the kids I did Big Brother with. That said, I really dislike Tim Burton as an action director, and hope it goes to someone else.
