WizardOne
The gnome sister has musician as an SA. Musician SA is in the SN,... I knew there had to be a card for it somewhere in the SN book. ...but Martyr and Non-Corporial are not even though there are spells that allow those SA to be given SN minis. Which spell hands out Martyr? Is there another spell besides Spectral Minion that uses Non-Corporeal?

The BSG faction spell BLOOD CRAZE, not certain, but do not think that there are any spells in SN that will do that.

Ranzadule
Any plans to do the Second Edition in Hard Cover? Whattabout a special Reapercon edition? Print 100, sell what you can at reapercon and then the rest online? :)
Gus Landt
Any plans to do the Second Edition in Hard Cover? Whattabout a special Reapercon edition? Print 100, sell what you can at reapercon and then the rest online? :) No, no plans on a hardcover. A special edition has my brain juices flowing though... It would have to be expensive. Like $100 expensive. But if we could make it worthwhile... Perhaps a hardcover with all 19 factions and a color section of painted models for each of those 19 factions? Hmmm... Warwick
Special editions are cool.
jdripley
I'd drop a hundred on that.
Warwick
Maybe we can prepay and make sure this gets off the ground. In some circles it's called ransoming. A person puts out an idea, like a special edition for Warlord, if 10 people all prepay then the project is go for liftoff. If not, we wait for ten people, then we go for liftoff. I've never done it before, but this seems like the type of thing for it.
jdripley
You could package it with a limited edition mini or something?
psyberwolfe1
After dropping $75 on the WFB 8th ed book, a Warlord special ed better be at that level or better. 300+ pages, Every Page is full color, a massive background section, hefty modeling, terrain building, etc. Otherwise it's $100 bucks of nothing. herzogbrian
I can see going for a Special Edition with all the factions. Just needs a better (and more readable) layout than the SN. Also, I like the Spellbook layout of the Core book over the SN, just easier to use with all the tomes listed at the top. Maybe a refundable subscription might be the way to help 'sell it' to the higher ups. Say a certain number of pre-orders to offset the costs and limit Reaper's liability if the edition does not sell out? Otherwise, just refund the $ and Reaper is not out much money for the effort. For the pics, folks going to ReaperCon could bring in their figures for a chance at being the color pic for the book, logistically not the easiest, but an idea none-the-less. wildger
I agree with above. Hopefully, there is a full battle report inside with pictures.
Warwick
I disagree with the 100 bucks for nothing comment. I would never pay 75 for a Warhammer game because I don't play Warhammer. I do play Warlord. One book, soft cover or hard, with all the rules, data cards, fluff and scenarios, picture of Reaper Matt in a toga...I would pay 100 bucks for that. Just to carry around and show people. "Look at this beast of a book, losers! You can't handle Warlord Special Edition! Fear my game above all others! Where's my blasted slushie? Don't make me ask again!" I recall starting a serious reply, but as usual I descend into the silly. It's a curse. Anyway, I would pay for whatever coolness Reaper brings out. Fanboy? Why, yes. Yes I am.
Ranzadule
I would go 100 if it looked sweet. I got the 8th Ed WH book. As long as the Warlord book keeps the great rules and does not add pre-measuring, Silly rules or Candyland terrain, I'm in.
