MonkeySloth
I'm curious as to the extent that modding is allowed especially with non-Reaper stuff since the contest is, obviously, to show off Reaper's minis. I've got two that I'm interested in submitting that I've replaced the weapons with bits from other companies.
Super Administrators kit Posted January 26, 2011 Super Administrators Share Posted January 26, 2011 Alterd the Photoshopping wording: Photoshopping your entry is strictly prohibited. "Photoshopping" includes digital airbrushing, adding a background, adding a logo, that sort of thing. Cropping and levels/color balance correction are fine. For modifications, in the past our rule of thumb was something like 90% Reaper. That's easy to quantify, hard to qualify, so we said that any figure pieces had to be Reaper or hand-crafted. Set pieces could come from other entities. I'm going to go out on a friendly limb. Non-Reaper weapon swaps will be okay this time around. MamaGeek
My entry will have a conversion, but the mini will hold something I made myself, not from a non-Reaper company. Thanks for the Photoshopping clarification, kit!

If it turns out that there's an issue with them then it's no big deal, I'm not entering to win but to have fun and have an excuse to paint a figure. Sarrazon
So, got my model and a plan for it. Is it ok if I post WiP shots on it on other forums/in the WiP section, or should I wait till it's all done to post it?
Inarah
Traditionally we've been holding off on the WIPs, and letting the entries be a surprise, but there's no hard and fast rule on that.
Sarrazon
Alright. If that's the case then I think I'll hold off.
MamaGeek
My entry is almost done! I just have a few finishing touches to make. I don't know if it's a prize-worthy paint job, but I think it's a nice little scene I put together.
MonkeySloth
I'm about half way done. Here's hoping I have enough time during this coming week because I know I won't next weekend.
fieldarchy
I'm assuming employees aren't banned from the contest, Kit?
dargrin
Well I going to give this a shot. Kids had a couple days off and I was able to start something. If I get done it will be real close.
MaGie
I'm working on my entry for this contest also. For the miniature the colour scheme came quite naturally as the mini inspired me lot. The base is still something I'm thinking about. I hope to finish it about Saturday. I'm looking forward to see the other entries, so far it looks very promising :)
sgtoku
I recently put up a post of mine in the contest. I'm glad to see slight modification is okay (in my case vines). P.S: That pink dragon with the cure ribbon is clever. Nice idea.
Inarah
I'm close to finishing mine. I will give it another look in the morning. Then there's the base.... Hope to have it up Saturday or Sunday.
