Mouslings we'd like to see / We'd like to see Mouslings!

Actually, we totally need a Sophie mouseling...

For some reason the thought of a Sophie Mouseling is nearly as bad as the visual of Reaper Brian in the Princess Leah outfit. It just doesn't work!

Then again, Gene Van Horne and Bobby Jackson do some pretty darn amazing stuff, so maybe it is possible?

LOVE the NOVA Mousling idea.

And the Terminator Mousling

Pilot Mousling with a bomber jacket and goggles?

Stripper Mousling with pole rocks (and my wife would hurt me for voting that one up) :)

What about an AuldGrumpy Mousling?

All good ideas! I think we can definitely accommodate you on that last one... How about a hunched old mouseling with glasses and a shawl, waving his cane in the air wildly as he spouts useless facts about commas from his English Grammar Tome. Wait a minute... I think I have a picture around here somewhere, Yep! Here it is!!

Dead Mouseling in a mousetrap.

The Auld Grump, in regards to mousie Sophie, 'drather have Sophie, no mouse

You don't like the mouselings then don't buy them  I'm tired of your rants dry.gif

You are assuming that it is a rant, understandable, but inaccurate - I actually do want a dead mousling in a mousetrap. I don't want a mousie Sophie, but a mousling in a trap is funny. For that matter a mousling rogue disarming a mousetrap, or using a fishing pole to get the cheese, would also be funny, if you don't want the beastie squashed.

Either way it would most likely be a gift for someone who has played Skaven against me in Mordheim, the only person who can beat my warband on a fairly regular basis.

My complaints about mouslings have either been when they have replaced a Sophie or that I have feared that they would replace a Sophie - I like my cosplaying succubi.

The timing with the Sophie/Mousling confusion was coincidental - the suggestion of a dead mousling in a mousetrap was separate from thinking that a mousling had replaced Sophie. It was a passing idea that I thought was funny.

*EDIT* As to Mousling Sophie, the idea of a mousling dressed as Sophie does not entertain me, but, thinking it over, a Sophie dressed as though wearing a mouse Hallowe'en costume or dressed as a Mousketeer... that has potential. smile.gif

*EDIT 2* I can't find an image for it, but I have an old Heartbreaker resin piece of a giant mousetrap baited with a chunk of warpstone. The mousling in a trap would not even be my first take on the joke.

The Auld Grump, old enough to remember Annette Funicello....

I like the image - I might actually buy that mousling. smile.gif It would sit on top of my computer, next to the Weepul.

But folks not knowing how their own dangnabbed language works is not something that I find funny. Knowing the rules of grammar is not 'useless'; folks not knowing how to construct a simple paragraph is a failure of the education system. Back in my day....*

Mouslings, as a whole, do not strike me as useful for gaming, but might make decent gifts, either for folks who play Skaven or who have mice as pets. I have even directed folks to look at the Reaper Mouslings over in The Miniatures Page forums.

The Auld Grump

*EDIT* I might also be tempted by a steampunk mousling, again, I would put it on top of my computer.

*This mini-rant is intended to be humorous, not to be taken seriously. I enjoy being auld and grumpy.

No Sophie for Reaper Con this year?

Coincidental? I don't think so. The timestamps look pretty clear to me... <_<

It doesn't matter whether you like the mouselings or not. They're not everybody's cup of tea. I get it. What I don't get is your overreaction to something you misread and how it spilled over into this, a completely unrelated thread.

In the meantime, keep chasing those grammarnogoodnicks Auld Don Quixote. I'm sure you'll get them all rounded up and set straight eventually.

As the Reaper Apostrophe Ninja, I am startled that you say this as though it's a bad thing.

There is no greater joy in life than grammar, after all.
